I was late arriving and chose the West End as the first I could get to. Reception was good as were all the staff. Room was a good sized twin and for £25.50 not to be complained at.
Dinner was served in the bar and was well cooked and delivered promptly, ordering is by choosing your items and ordering from the bar.
Breakfast is served in the restaurant and again the staff and food cannot be faulted.
I was warned on arrival that there was to be a wedding reception the next day but felt that this should not be too much of a problem.
I was wrong, the walls and ceilings transmit the slightest sound, people were up and down stairs all night and, despite my tiredness I was unable to sleep. The people in the next room invited their friends back and the door of the room was in constant use. I could here all of the conversation plus anyone walking above could be heard through the ceiling.
The party next door did not finish until it was light so very little sleep was available.
The bar area could do with some revamping as the brown radiators do not make a good show.
I cannot fault the price, the food or the staff maybe they should discourage other bookings when a wedding reception is taking place.
