“A great place to visit!”

We stayed here for 2 nights on a trip to climb Ben Nevis. The rooms were homely, warm and very comfortable. Kirstie and her mother were very accommodating and made us feel very welcome.

The location is superb, and overlooks a sea water Loch which you can easily walk down to to enjoy the scenery. Even in November this is a place well worth visiting.

Thoroughly recommended.

My wife and I stayed here for just one night in July, but had a most enjoyable stay. The house is close to the lock edge with a nice view over the water. The room we had was large and bright with a comfortable bed and a bay window which was pleasant to sit in while reading. Breakfast was the full Scottish with plenty to eat.

This is a extremely beautiful house located in a magnificent scenery and lanscape. The owners are just as discrete and distinctive as the house itself. We highly recommend a stay here, with beautiful and charming interiors, magnificent views and a extraordinary good breakfast. All the house remind us of Beatrix Potter, which is very charming. Mary and Kirstien will be able to acccompany your stay in the most lovely way.

Mary and Kirstie are wonderful hosts! Cuilcheanna House sits in the middle of some of the world's most gorgeous scenery. The short version of our review: We had a wonderful stay, we wish we had stayed longer, and we cannot wait to return.

My husband and I stayed two nights in early July. Our room was immaculate and had a bathtub--a real treat. Breakfast was fabulous! Between the two days, we sampled the haggis, black pudding, eggs, toast, bacon, sausage and smoked salmon. The food was simply incredible, and the coffee was perfect. And! They supplied gluten free bread for my Gluten-sensitive husband. Thinking about breakfast has me drooling. :)

The room was wonderful. Comfortable and well-kept. We even loved the soap! High quality, wonderful soaps that smell perfect. Our room had a bathtub, which was a real treat.

The setting is simply stunning. Fort William was a cute town, a nice place to eat dinner. Kirstie gave us excellent advice as to where to eat and what to do. On her advice, we got a wonderful sampling of the Highlands, ate fresh and exceptional dinner, and fell in love with the area. If we did our trip again, we'd stay much longer and explore Glencoe and the area.

Don't hesitate to book your stay at Cuilchenna House. We'll be here in America, saving our pennies until we can go again.

Mary & Kirsti are charming hosts. The house is in a superb location near Glencoe and handy for Fort William. We had a comfortable room, lovely white linen on the comfortable beds. Quiet for sleeping. Everything one could need but no TV which if you wanted to view was in large lounge downstairs. Breakfast was delicious, well cooked, nicely presented and served. The house is in the perfect location for exploring a very scenic area of Scotland.

An excellent place to break your journey north, as we did on our way to Wester Ross. My in-laws were in the superior Mull room with a break taking view across Loch Linnhe, and my wife and I stayed in the dog-friendly Mull Room. Both were very comfortable, spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. Superb breakfast the next day and wonderful hospitality from Kirstie, supported in the kitchen by Mary. Lovely lakeside setting and only 20 minutes, or so, south of Fort William. Highly recommended.

This was our first stop in the Highlands and what a wonderful experience. The room was very nice. The staff was very warm. The location is gorgeous. Make sure to take a walk down to the water. Would stay again.

Room Tip: We had the end room with windows looking down at the garden and out to the water.
