As a none smoker the weather so hot unable to sit outside due to everyone that sat out side seemed mostly all smoke. tha hotel entrance plasic chairs for the smokers.
out side the entertainment room another seating area for smokers. It was so warm if you opened the windows you also let the smell of smoke in. when I returned home I had to wash all of our clothes even ones that we didnt wear as in the bedroom still the smell of smokers. My husband and I would not stay in that hotel again.

My wife and I have just returned from a seven day touring holiday of the West Highlands of Scotland. We had an amazing time.
We booked with Alpha travel, and from the moment we boarded the coach we were looked atfer. Our cases were handled by the Alpha staff throughout.
Our driver Brian was possibly the best driver/guide there is. His knowlege of the area was better than any book, as he also knew all the local gossip as well so it gave life to the tour. If you are considering a touring holliday in the Western highlands then Brian's tour is the one to go on.
Upon arival at the hotel, you notice the exteria needs a coat of paint and a general sprucing up, but once inside it is a different story. It is apparent that the Hotel is undergoing a face lift. Thre rooms on the top floor, along with most off the bedrooms have been renovated to a very high standard. Our room was big, clean, and well appointed with sprctacular views. The rooms were cleaned on a daily basis and the tea, coffee etc replenished each day. The towels supplied were also very clean and laundered upon request.
Garry the hotel manager was friendly and approchable, he was visable throughout the day., as were all the hotel staff.
The food was hot and served promptly even thought he hotel was fully booked.
There was a good choise of food available, always at least three choises on the menue in addition to the chef's special of several vegitarien options available. The 'Vegie Chille' was excerlent , as was the 'Whisky haggis' for the meat eaters.
There was entertainment on five nighs, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday were the better ones. Monday and Wednesday were very poor, but that is my personal oppinion and other people may beg to differ.
When you concider what you pay the Croit Anna Hotel must offer pound for pound value as one of the best hotels anywhere. If you want a £400.00 per night hotel then stay at the Inverlochie Castel, but if you want a nice clean hotel with good food, friendly staff , views to die for and excerlent value for money ,stay at the Croit Anna.
So will I go Back?
You can bet your life I will, We have already got next years dates lined up and can't wait.

My wife and I stayed 4 nights at the hotel on a coach holiday. The hotel is rather isolated being about 3 miles from Fort William. £5 by taxi. It is on the Loch-side (Loch Linnie)
The hotel is classed as a 2 star and that is about right.
The food was good as was the service. the staff friendly and helpful
Our particular complaint was the room which was on the first floor - at the back. All we could see was overgrown vegetation about 12 feet from the small window which you could not have open because of the Midges. All rear rooms would have the same 'view'. It was classed as a standard double room but was very small about 12 feet by 10 feet. Furnishing were very basic. It was however clean and in good repair. The room was very dark with poor lighting. We did ask to have a different room and were prepared to pay extra. The front rooms looked much larger with a view over the Loch. We were told they were fully booked and had no alternative rooms. I think it was a question of allocation as other members of our party had front rooms without asking for them.
Other than the room we had good value for the money. There was good entertainment every night with live entertainment and of course Bingo
If we were to return, which I doubt as we had been to Fort William twice, we would insist on a Loch-view reasonable sized room

We have just spent a very enjoyable 5 day holiday at the Croit Anna Hotel. The hotel is in a beautiful position alongside a loch, we had rooms looking out onto the loch with a magnificent view. Our rooms were cleaned daily, clean towels every day if required. The food was extremely good and the service could not be faulted. All the staff were very friendly and could not be more helpful, obviously the manager is running a very happy hotel. All in all we had very good value for money and would not hesitate to book another holiday.
