Stayed for 4 nights on coach trip with Alfa Holidays.Hotel location about 3 miles from Fort William so apart from the lovely view, not a lot to do in the evening.Room large and clean with limited view of Loch Linnie. Food was good with good choice, vegetarian and chef special selection at dinner.Waiting staff lovely, our waitress Marta was always very cheerful and made our holiday more pleasant. The reception staff and manager Clair were also very helpful, The entertainment was very predictable,we thought Monday night(Derek) was certainly the best, the others covered the same songs (mostly Tom Jones/Scottish traditional songs)so became rather boring. All in all an enjoyable visit

We satayed for 3 nights and paid the extra for a view of the sea loch. The room was clean and comfortable, apart from the verandah whhere the chairs needed agood wash! and if only the weather had been better the view would have been superb. The staff on the whole were very helpful but the bar staff were missing most of the time and had to be found or waited for if you wanted a drink, this is probably because the bar was very quiet but ti does not encourage you to stay and drink.
For the first time ever I was asked to pay up front for my stay!
You could only get an evening meal at the time the coach parties were being served and if there was not one staying no evening meal was available. However after having the breakfast I was glad not to eat in the evening. The food was poor quality, barely warm and certainly in short supply.
It was certainly a rip off as I do not consider it cheap.
We visit this area quite regularly and will not be staying there again.

Without a doubt the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was dingy and smelled damp and our 'view' looked out onto a weed-covered hill. For £66 per night, this hotel was certainly not value for money.

our room was very clean with beautiful views of the loch - its worth paying extra for this. we soon discovered the knack to closing the shower doors to ensure they didnt leak!
service in the restaurant was excellent although the food choices were limited and the portions could have been more generous. we found it rather airless in the restaurant and it may have benefitted from the windows being opened
the quality of the evening entertainment was mixed and choice of drinks at the bar limited
there is a bus into fort william which stops outside the hotel - it was longer to walk back than we thought but we managed it and it was a very pleasant walk along the side of the loch

Room Tip: pay for the view of the loch from your room

Just got back from a 5 day trip with Alfa travel, non stop rain The Hotel Croit Anna is very much out of the way there is absolutly no where to go, so you become a prisoner in this hotel. It was ok the food is very much frozen and although there was a choice it was very much low budget, I do know that we didn't pay a lot but it was only very cheaply done. The hotel staff are pleasant and one didn't need to carry ones bags which was just as well as this hotel dosen't have a lift, ok if you are fit. The hotel was clean and the room quite comfy it did have a large games room which we only found by mistake.I wouldnt go again.

We stayed at the Croit Anna from 3rd to 6th September as part of a coach tour. I was a bit apprehensive given its two star rating. We had a room overlooking the loch which was very nice and spacious with a large bathroom. The hotel should in my opinion be 3 star but probably the lack of a lift and non-view to the back may be the reason for this. The only negative thing I could say is that the outside could use some TLC. The food and choice was of a very good quality. The staff were very helpful and service was very good. The bar did not close early as was previously reported. I think the bar staff have been changed. The entertainment was excellent - especially Paula Mackaskill. All in all we had a brilliant weekend. The weather was also great which was a bonus! For the price we paid it was excellent value for money.
