We had booked a group canyoning activity but heavy rain the night before meant that our activity was changed to coasteering @Elie in Fife.

We all had a fantastic time. None of our group had ever done anything like this before but we were made to feel really comfortable and more importantly, really safe, by our two guides, olly and Ben.

Would definitely recommend this as a group activity.

I've been out quite a few times with Vertical Descents and always have an absolute ball. The canyoning trips are fantastic - half a day of slipping, sliding and jumping down the beautifull Inchree Falls. The last jump (40 feet) is definitely worth building up to and the zipwire - wow!

Last time I went out on the Via Ferrata and was literally speechless. The setting is out of this world with the Grey Mares Tail waterfall thundering by just feet away as you teeter and totter up, along and over the iron walkway. The swinging wooden bridges took my breath away first time round - second time meant I could enjoy it more!

All of the trips are expertly led with safety paramount - you'll remember every single minute.

Brilliant. My son got a voucher for a half day activity for his Christmas so we chose the canyoning at Inchree. Fantastic day from start to finish. Great friendly knowledgeable staff. Would go again and definitely recommend it to anyone. Thank you to the two guides Joe and Connor. Special thanks to Joe for retrieving my camera.

Arrrrgggghhh! We went up age 38,37 and 8..... needless to say Niamh age 8 was fine. Her mum and dad had a massive adrenaline rush which earned us a couple of cold shandies at the end of the day. Expertly led and safety obviously paramount. No concerns there. .. despite the massive drops, thunderous falls and epic scenery I was confident we were in excellant safe hands. Great equipment and after 2 hours of climbing in april none of us were cold... not even our hands. Niamh looking forward to doing it again.. next time she would like a picnic halfway. Thanks vertical descents and Mikey.

We have just returned from a three day break in Fort William - camping in what can only be described as variable weather. On one of those days we went canyoning and river bugging with Vertical Descents. I can honestly say that we could not have been treated better, and indeed have not, in any number of other activity based breaks. I think the measure of the company is their response to the most negative review on this site (if it's still there) - they were always courteous, always made their point in a concise way whether that was in respect of client (our) safety or how to approach the next hurdle. Their overall concern for our welfare was abundantly clear and extended to other aspects of our trip - eg how safe it may be going up Ben Nevis at this time of year, and where would be a good place to eat (which they recommended and booked for us). As for the activities themselves - absolutely mental and probably made more so by the huge amount of rain. If you want to be taken out of your comfort zone, do something totally different, but feel that you are in the safest hands possible then this is for you.
