A very nice modern small hotel with excellent dining. Our room was on the small side, but spotless. We couldn't close the window, so there was road noise at night. (I always bring earplugs for this possibility.) The staff were wonderful with our group. I understand that one needs to book far in advance during the season because Ft. William is the terminus of the West Highland Way.

The Nevis Bank Inn is very easy to find, just off the main rd, we (2) paid £147 for one night incl breakfast, the staff are all very well turned out and smart and very helpful showing us right up to the room and explaining a few things, the room was very clean as you would expect..... the tray which the kettle was on was a strange thing, the kettle being part of the tray that it sat on along with the cups etc but NO socket to plug it into you had to lift the whole thing onto the dresser and plug it in there, wierd, the socket thing is a problem, not enough and not in the right places either ..... the dresser with mirror was wierd also, now my wife likes to do her hair and make up with a mirror in front of her but the mirror on the dresser was WAAAY to high, even sitting on the chair sitting on a cushion she could only see the top of her head, she’s 5ft 3 so not an uncommon height.
The resturaunt is lovely and clean and the staff very attentive, we both ordered fish n chips with a side of onion rings which although good the fish was still too oily, i know it’s deep fried but some extra draining would be helpful, the onion rings had a little pool of oil at the bottom of the bowl, for desert we both had ice cream which was obviously pre scooped and put back in a freezer, it came to the table almost as quick as we’d ordered it, another clue was the ice cream was flat on the bottom..... how long would it take to scoop it when ordered ? it also had a frost back on it and we had to wait on it defrosting a bit to eat it, it was brick hard.
Breakfast is from 7.30-9.30, the waitress was great, sorry i didn’t get you’re name but you had a Brummie accent back and forth with the coffee refills we both had the full Scottish but.... the tattie scone was almost uncooked, it still had flour on it.
In the main The Nevis Bank Inn is good, officially rated as a 4 star but it’s just the details that make me give it a 3 star

This small hotel property is located on the outskirts of Ft. William about a 3/4 mile walk from the train station. The rooms were on the small side, but were clean with a comfortable bed. The road out front is busy during the day, but relatively quiet at night. Our sleep was not affected by any road noise. The good breakfast included both cold buffet and hot, made to order items off the menu.

It’s not often I give 5 * reviews, but we loved this place. Acknowledging that it was the top end of our budget.
Located walking distance from the town centre is a modern well maintained hotel. The rooms are of a high standard and the food excellent.

This was a pleasant surprise - easy to spot on the side of the main road and a comfortable overnight stay, although I have to say that the room we stayed in does not appear to be as big as those I viewed in the photos. Yet, comfortable enough! Rooms are not air conditioned, but it wasn't necessary in May - it was quite comfortable. Dinner was outstanding, with generous portions of freshly prepared food. Loved, loved the salmon.
Might be a difficult stay for anyone for whom stairs are a challenge. I did not notice an elevator, but there might have been one...
