Stayed for just the one night, bed and breakfast. Modern restaurant at the front and into reception, again very modern. Pleasant welcoming staff and the room seemed almost brand new although the owner did say it had been done around 13 months ago. Very clean and up to date with an extremely good bathroom. Comfy bed and a potential problem may be the room gets a little hot. Walls are quite thin - you have been warned!
We booked our evening meal as the staff said it gets busy. We thought this just a sales pitch, but no, it was full by mid evening.
Very good food, well served by nice staff, and the plates were huge. Must disagree with the previous reviewer who said it was overpriced etc. We could not fault any of it at all and would happily recommend it to guest and visitors alike. Breakfast was just the same.
We used this as a base to travel on the Jacobite on the West Highland Line, the steam train from Fort William to Mallaig and the station is just a short distance from the hotel, easily walked in 5-10 minutes.
We are not particularly fond of Fort William itself but this hotel more than made up for that.

This Inn was a real find and it should be the template on which other hotels in Fort William should be based. In a sea of hotels catering for the coach and saga brigade, this was a fantastically contemporary hotel in the heart of the town. Don't be put off by the look of it from the outside (for some reason they kept the façade but refurbished what lay behind). Inside is very contemporary, the rooms are very modern, have wonderful beds and are very clean. The restaurant had a great selection and was of a very high standard. You can eat in the restaurant as a non-resident and I would recommend it. They were happy to make up a great packed lunch for getting out in the mountains and could not have been more helpful and accommodating for the duration of our trip. Overall 10/10.

On arrival was greeted very abruptly by the Manager off the hotel. Everything seemed to be an issue. The food is okay, but for the prices charged would expect a more exciting selection. I could have cooked the meal myself. After eating out in other local restaurants, the prices charged are nearly double... will not book for dinner again.

Me and my mother stayed here for one weekend in June, picked primarily for its location close to Ben Nevis which attracted us to visit Fort William, and we were very glad we picked this hotel. Having explored the area, the Nevis Bank In was definately in a great location close to shops/amentities and close to the Ben Nevis/Mountain visitor centre, and from what we could see, it was of a far better standard than other hotels close by.

Check-in and check-out was easy, the staff at this hotel answered all our questions and went out of their way to help us make the most of our stay, I couldn't have asked for more. The food in the restaurant (Browns) was very nice, and well above standard compared to most hotel restaurants. There are cheaper places to eat in the town, but the food at Browns was better than we got when we ate out.

room was comfortable, although maybe sometimes a bit too warm. There is free internet at the hotel, and i made the most of this, connecting to their internet was easy.

If I visit Fort William again, I would only consider staying at the Nevis Bank Inn.

Room spotless. Food to die for and very helpful, very friendly staff. Checked in no problem and we were advised to book a table if we were eating in the hotel. Good advice the restaurant got very busy but the staff had time for everyone. They coped effortlessly. We slept very well and the next morning we received a lovelly heartening scottish breakfast. We will definitely be back.

PS. The weather was lovely also.

We stayed here for 1 night on the way to skye as we were travelling on the jacobite steam rail way the next day. Recieved a very warm welcome and all staff were very helpful and friendly. Food in the restaurant is excellent.
