If a 12 year old dog and a moo cow can do it, so can you!

Tip is to wear decent shoes as snow at the top can be deep and difficult to descend otherwise.

“Mixed bag”

As someone who really gets the English Lake District and whose only experience of Ben Nevis was as a 14 year old getting hosed off the mountainside by torrential rain in full summer, I thought I'd better give it another go. May seemed a good time to go - by all accounts the dry season in these parts. Hmmmm. Not really. On the positive side of the ledger, the Visitor Centre is a gem, and the signposting and the quality of the path draw you into the ascent with a real sense you are being looked after. But after 90 minutes or do, when you are half way up, you find yourself in a soaking cloud. Game over. OK you could plough on but joylessly and with no view. Only on returning to the Visitor Centre from the other angle do you spot the board with Ben Nevis facts including 'covered in cloud 355 days a year' AAAGHHH!

“Scarey but worth it (I Think!)”

Fantastic views, if you haven't trained you need to, its the hardest mountain I've ever climbed and the weather at the top was unbelievably scary with winds that took your legs from under you!
