“A fab find!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 20, 2012

We visited Fort William on a touring holiday so wanted a b&b for one night only. We were so lucky to find this lovely house with such welcoming and friendly hosts in Ellen and Graham, not forgetting little George. As soon as I stepped into the hall, I knew I'd love it as the decor was just to my taste....turkish runner and rugs, elegant furniture - a very stylish interior. The bedroom was just beautiful in blues and golds, with a view of the nearby loch. Modern en suite, good shower. Breakfast was very good and was expertly cooked by Ellen, helped of course by George who kept up a running commentary which kept us entertained. All in all, a wonderfully unexpected find - a gem of a b&b which we would highly recommend.

Although we have stayed in many places it is very rare for us to actually write a review however on this occasion we felt that we must. We have stayed in Fort William before but this time our stay was special. We were very fortunate to have Ellen and her husband as our hosts and they were great. Immediately they made us feel welcome and at home. The place is very clean and well presented. Our room was very spacious and we enjoyed every minute of being there.
If we areto return to Fort William again we will definitely come to this place and hope that George (he is only very young) will be there to show us his amazing trick as a caccoon!

We stayed at Waters Edge in late July 2012.
The bedroom was beautifully decorated, had a massive free standing bath and huge shower as well as a small flat screen TV. Everything you could need to relax and unwind.
Our hosts provided an truly first-class breakfast that left us barely needing to eat again until dinner time.
Cereal, juices, cooked breakfast or continental including prosciutto ham and croissants made for a delicious start to the day.
On top of all of that our hosts were fantastic, friendly and bent over backwards to look after us during our stay.
I would recommend this place to anyone heading up to Fort William for a relaxing break. Top class.

Room Tip: Get the room with the free standing bath if possible

The best B&B that we have stayed at anyway.
Superb large, spotless comfortable room with bath looking out over the loch! And a shower room too.
Excellent choice for breakfast including a "proper" continental. All served up by the friendly, knowledgeable owner Ellen and her little helper.
We would definitely stay here again and recommend to all.

We booked in for 2 nights and stayed for 4. We had a choice of rooms, all were spotless, recently re-furbished and all with a loch view. We chose the large room with the free-standing bath. This guest house is run by a local family. Ellen the owner was most helpful, with her loacal knowledge and advice. She picked us up from the Train Station on our arival, and took us to the car rental offices the next morning where we picked up our pre-booked car.

Room Tip: All the rooms have loch views and large double beds.

A welcoming Lochaber family made my stay here memorable. Cosy room, great breakfast, made unforgettable by the fact there was fish on a varied menu, something I tried to find, unsuccessfully on my last trip to the Highlands and Islands.
From the decking, there is a great view of Loch Linnhe and the hills beyond.
I was told that deer and pine marten might be spotted in the garden, although I did not see any. What an incentive to return!!
