We stayed here 4-11 August 2012, we had booked via the Hoseasons website. Everything was as we had been told it would be and the staff were friendly on check in. The children loved their room and even slept in later than us on some occassions. Grandad found the sofa very comfy and we slept like logs in the double bed. There was everything we needed for a week long holiday and the caravan was clean and tidy when we arrived. The children enjoyed the play area and it kept them quiet while food was cooking. It was great having a dvd player as well, my little girl celebrated her 6th birthday while we were away and got a couple of dvds as present, this meant she didn't have to wait until she got home. It was in a good location to visit Ben Nevis, Treasures of the Earth, Oban and Mallaig. Would definatley consider going again. Grandad's only complaint... the holiday wasn't long enough and I don't think that is somethign the owners of Lochy Park could have helped with!

Visited this park from thu 09/08/12 to sun 12/08/12. I phoned the site on thursday morning before leaving for fort william & was advised there was plenty of room on site to pitch our tent & no booking ahead was required. We arrived on site early afternoon & was greeted at reception by very pleasant gent. There was ample grassy park to pitch our tent, with plenty of space between for car. I have camped on this site on a number of occasions but haven't visited for about 8 years. The shower block/ wc/ dishwashing area is clean & adequate for size of park. The site is not too far out of town & if you choose to do so, you can walk into town. The surrounding mountains & river running behind park, make the park a scenic location. The weather at the time of our visit was fab. I would definitely visit park again.

Many thanks for posting your review. My apologies for not responding more quickly. We are all very pleased that you enjoyed the Park and the fabulous weather . It does make such a difference and the sunny, breezy weather can help keep the midges away!!. We do try and keep the grounds as unspoilt and natural as we can for visitors to the park to enjoy. The views that we have of Ben Nevis and the surrounding mountains are ones that we never tire of looking at and are commented on greatly.

Came up recently for 4 nights. Excellent site on great location next to River Lochy. Warm welcome at reception when we turned up, and the staff were the friendliest and most helpful I have come across for a long time. Site is clean and well laid out. There are both hard standings or grass for cravans and motor homes. We opted for a lovely grass pitch close to the river. Couldn't fault anything.

Thank you very much for your very kind review. We ( the staff) do try and be as friendly and informative as we possibly can to all visitors. All comments and feedback that visitors pass on to us regarding local attractions/restaurants etc are given out in the hope of enhancing the enjoyment of your holiday. The weather we cannot do so much about I'm afraid but that is what make this part of Scotland unique.

Arrived 2 hours early and chanced checking in which was not a problem and the owners were more than welcoming,

Site has a great location although a few miles from fort William's town centre.
Car or bike is a must as it's a long walk into town.

Great views, clean spotless well equipt accommodation, very quite, on site shop sells basics, only down fall no pub or eatery on site or within a short walking distance but maybe this adds to the quaintness of the park and the play park is very basic with no swings. (reviewed by our 3 year old daughter)

But overall had a great stay and would recommend

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We do not see many visitors all the way from Australia but we are delighted that you had such a good time and that you were met by happy and informative staff members. We do try and give as much information ( both local and further afield ) to our guests as we possibly can and all tips gathered from other guests are passed on.

We booked Lochy Park through the Hoseasons Group for 1 weeks stay commencing on Saturday 23rd June 2012.

We arrived earlier (around 12pm) and even though the booking confirmation said we couldn;t check in until 3pm this wasn't a problem. We were given our keys and welcomed to the park. The park is run by the 'Brown Family' and they were lovely, very kind and welcoming. The reception is full with lots of information and guides for different things in and around Fort William.

We stayed In the Woodbury Lodge number 4. This was average accommodation and better than a static caravan. The cooker and fridge/freezer was of good quality compared to some other lodges we have stayed in. Unfortunately the lodge could do with some attention and tender loving care. The wardrobe in the children's bedroom for example, the latches which the two doors went into had completely broke. The sealant around the bath and sink was coming away and could do with being re-sealed. The wardrobe in the main bedroom had to planks of wood with nails sticking out loose and the Patio Doors to enter the lodge were fairly difficult to open...

They seem to have added something new each year. The wall lighting and table & chairs and carpet in lounge looked fairly new. We found that cooking a breakfast in the morning without a pair of tongs proved quite difficult, so if you are stopping in number 4, we have added some BBQ Tongs for you.

The cleanliness of the lodge was fantastic, it was very clean and you could not fault this. We also found the shower block which is for use of the campers very useful, they were hot and when 3 of you are wishing to have showers it makes the process quicker..

The location of the park is very good, just a short drive from the local Morrisons and Fort William itself. The High Street isn't worth getting too exited about. A lot of the units are empty and lots of shops are 'Closing Down' Make sure you visit 'Steal Falls' (Instructions In Reception) The glen nevis chairlift and Neptunes Stair Case.

To conclude, the park is in an excellent location with good facilities on site (Shop, Play Area ect...) however the accommodation could do with a little refurbishment as mentioned above. If you are looking for a weeks stay to explore fort william then this is certainly an ideal base.

Room Tip: *Caution the decking is extremely slippery when wet, so take extra caution.

We arrived unannounced to camp and were immediately hugely impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the beauty and cleanliness of the whole site. We pitched our tents at the far end of the park immediately next to the beds of lovely bluebells and just the other side from a lovely river, and set back enough from Ben Nevis to be able to see that mountain and the ridge leading to it from the Red Mountain which we duly tackled thanks to advice from staff in the shop. We all loved our time at Lochy and will definitely go back. Great prices too.

Room Tip: Camping down by the river was a dream.
