Fort William is not overly burdened with fine reapstaurants. (Note local restaurant that will remain nameless, which proudly clams to be a specialist in Indian AND Chinese food...). So it was a real pleasure to come here and have a warm welcome, an enticing menu, freshly cooked risotto (worth the short wait) and an interesting and delicious smoked trout terrine. One of the other reviewers called it "pretentious". A little harsh! Fort William is never going to be Soho, and these guys are doing great work with mostly local ingredients, at a decent price. More power to them!
