Very poor food. What you get is not as described on menu, portions are small and quality really poor. Prawn cocktail had smallest prawns we'd ever seen, served with stale sliced bread. Seabass was 1 tiny fillet, overcooked served on cold, dried up boiled potato with frozen peas and carrots. Gammon steak was grisly, chips appeared to have been overcooked & left so were cold. Don't go.

had a great night at the ben nevis bar me and my partner had a lovley meal started with mushrooms and a mini pie followed by rump steak med well which was cooked to perfection and texan pork. The staff were very attentive without being over the top and recommended a lovely bottle of pinot grigio to go with our meal. Will be back

Food very bland, staff friendly enough.
Saved only by a superb pint of Orkney Dark Raven.
Wouldn't return.

Visited the Ben Nevis Bar for food at the lounge. Staff were friendly, but kept bringing other people's food to our table by mistake. Our starters were good - crab cakes and breaded mushrooms - a promising start to the meal. The mains however were on the most part terrible. Scampi, chips and peas .... the scampi was luke warm...the chips and peas were cold. The chips were also undercooked, and the garden peas were horrible...as if they had been reheated several times...then left to get cold before serving. The chips and peas that accompanied the sirloin steak were of the same sorry state. The steak was a nice piece of meat although slightly overcooked - medium rather than rare as requested. Whether it be pub grub or restaurant food, it needs to be hot and the chips need to be good - not reminiscent of undercooked oven chips. What a shame.
