If you want to get to the base of this long waterfall you have the choice of wading through the river or tackling a bridge made of 3 wire ropes! The latter is much more fun!

If you're going to do this walk, please wear suitable footwear. The going, due to the prepared pathways, is pretty good for most of the walk and most people should be able complete it, but there are some very slippery areas.

We went in February and it was very popular then, so in Summer I should think this attraction gets packed.

The scenery is beautiful and if you carry on past the waterfall along the river, for another 15 minutes there’s a little bridge next to a derelict house, which is an excellent place (In the sun) to stop for refreshments.

There’s a wire rope bridge before you can get right up to the waterfall, which gets quite bouncy in the middle section. Quite dangerous, as it’s a 10 foot drop into freezing water, in wet conditions.

The walk to the falls through the gorge and along the stream was great and very beautiful. The falls are magnificent and the metal rope bridge across the steam was great fun although a little difficult to do when damp and when trying to hold on with a broken hand as it does move about a bit, but I guess that was just me refusing to miss out on things despite broken bones.

Well worth visiting both for the beauty of the gorge and the tranquility when you get to the falls

It's about 9 miles to the car park at the top of Glen Nevis and then a 1hour hike to the waterfall. The steep gorge you walk through is spectacular, and so long as you take your time, the path is well marked and offers some great views. Once through the gorge the waterfall is visible from a distance and it's a stunner. Will definitely be taking friends there later in the year.
