This walk is ideal for people who dont't want to be hikeing for miles. It's easy to find from Fort Wiliam and there is planty of parking at the start of the walk. After a short walk you are upon the waterfall. It allows for some great pictures. Will definitly be heading back next year.

The Nevis Gorge is where Scotland pays its tribute to the Himalayas.High walls of Crag and boulders rise on either side.
The path runs through a narrow gap where the forest clings to the steep hillside and the river crashes below among its boulders. The well-made path runs gently uphill under woods of Birch and Hazel, across what turns into a very steep slope.
For a few steps it becomes a rock-cut ledge, with a step across a waterfall side-stream.Further along this path "Steall Falls" can be seen through the notch of the valley.

The path continues briefly downhill to cross a second stream.
Continue the path which will lead you to a wooden balcony section. From here the path is just above the bed of the Nevis Gorge.
The river runs through huge boulders, spectacular view.
Soon the path emerges on to a level meadow above the Gorge.
Ahead, the "Steall Fall" fills the view. The path runs along the left-hand edge of the meadow to a point opposite the waterfall.

The walk ends here, beside a footbridge, look to your right from the meadow. The footbridge consists of three steel cables over a very deep pool.It does get wobblier in the middle but the views from the footbridge are wonderful. Its not easy to turn around on footbridge but the return journey is rather easier. From the bridge, the driest path runs alongside the main river round one bend before heading up to the foot of the waterfall. The view from directly beneath is even more spectacular.
