Description: Open since 1995, the simple cooking and warm, friendly atmosphere has allowed The Mustard Seed to become one of Inverness’s favourite restaurants. The Location on the banks of the River Ness in a converted church building is simply stunning and helps create the wonderful ambience. The transformation from disused church to restaurant created a unique space; with a double-height ceiling and magnificent open log fire. Many of the original period features were retained and combined with a mix of natural and modern finishes. The addition of the terrace on the top floor allows alfresco dining and uninterrupted views of the River, another amazing asset for the restaurant.

The food was interesting and well prepared. The service was excellent and the atmosphere is relaxed but somehow elegant.

“A relaxed Sunday Lunch”
Reviewed September 2, 2014

All 4 of us enjoyed a most relaxed lunch on August 31st. The menu represents superb value for money with 2 courses starting at £7.95 but with other items at an additional charge. Nice wine list and very informative staff also providing great service made the whole experience most convivial. The staff even noticed a birthday gift being handed over so the meal ended with a indoor firework arriving at our table to the accompaniment of Happy Birthday!
Thank you for giving us such a nice meal to remember.

“nice place good food but I felt a little cramped”
Reviewed September 2, 2014

on visiting the restaurant we were shown to our table and I thought that this was a bit cramped and it wasn't nice to hear that the people from the next table couldn't have a conversation without us hearing everything, I WOULD HAVE LESS COVERS and make it a classier place. You could hear the voices booming from downstairs, The food was good and service was good

“Beautiful experience.”
Reviewed September 2, 2014 via mobile

Wonderful food and atmosphere at a price that at home (Perth, Australia) I wouldn't have got anything half as good. Would go again soon were it not for the 25 hour flight.
