Description: Open since 1995, the simple cooking and warm, friendly atmosphere has allowed The Mustard Seed to become one of Inverness’s favourite restaurants. The Location on the banks of the River Ness in a converted church building is simply stunning and helps create the wonderful ambience. The transformation from disused church to restaurant created a unique space; with a double-height ceiling and magnificent open log fire. Many of the original period features were retained and combined with a mix of natural and modern finishes. The addition of the terrace on the top floor allows alfresco dining and uninterrupted views of the River, another amazing asset for the restaurant.

“Excellent meal”

Yes I am a bit of a foodie. But i look for more than just good food in a restaurant, it has to be the whole package. We were taken to the Mustard Seed by relatives whilst on holiday in Inverness and I was not disappointed. The food was excellent, the service was attentive and fast, the wine selection good, ambiance comfortable and the bill was not terrible £130 for 4 inc wine. Booking is essential!!!!!

“Ye old faithful”

Have been to the mustard seed many times and it has never failed to impress.usually go for the "pre-theatre" menu which is two course for £11.95. Fantastic value for a starter and main of this quality. The black pudding salad was delicious and a good size for a starter and the (21 day matured) rump steak was cooked to perfection (£1.50 surcharge for the steak but totally worth it) The homemade soups are always good starters too (from past experience). Probably one of the best places to eat in Inverness. The decor is lovely too,a warm homely feeling to the place.
