i went around inverness trying out loads of different places until i stumbled apon this little gem of a restaurant! food is amazing, staff are magic, atmosphere is laid back and relaxing. i had the highland chicken and homemade cheescake tonight, big portions and cooked fresh!! i could waffle on all night but it really is a bit special. i recomend it to everyone. would also be a great place to take "a burd"

27's unprepossessing exterior may well put you off. Castle Street isn't the smartest street in town. Don't be fooled - take a walk through those doors and discover a great bar with a very good bistro attached. Staff are friendly, welcoming and seem to enjoy working there. Service is efficient without being too brisk and the food is well worth the journey. 27 also carries some rather nice real ales (not easy to find in Inverness) and a good range of whiskeys.
Sundays see a nice roast, well worth trying.
If you're thinking of eating Friday or Saturday night, best book!

We went here for dinner. It was perfect. Good Pub food. Fish and chips were brillant. Buffalo wings were perfect. Good service. Friendly, young staff. Very quick. We love it.

Ate on a Monday which is special offer on steak night. £9.99 steak dinner plus drink. This was the best meal I had eaten in weeks, cannot praise it enough. Staff relaxed and really pleasant, open kitchen so can see chefs at work, all very calm and relaxed.
