Description: Since it opened in 2002, Rocpool Restaurant ha become an effervescent Inverness brasserie with a loyal fan base. A cool contemporary decor with lots of bare wood and bold colours give a buzzy vibe to the restaurant which is situated in a prime site on the banks of the River Ness. The kitchen has a repotoire of eclectic modern dishes which use Scotland's matchless produce sprinkled with Mediterranean sunshine, plus a pinch of exotic spice here and there.

Lunched here for the first time and will definitely be back. The 2-course lunch menu was immense value with a good selection of dishes that didn't disappoint. The food arrived well presented, cooked to perfection, and was bursting with flavour. This was complemented with a relaxed atmosphere and staff that were courteous and engaging.

Simply can't fault this place and Brownie points for the iced coffee!

We visited with friends as part of a trip to the scottish open golf. The food surpassed our expectations. Each plate was well presented. it was both interesting and tasty plus the wines were superb. The service was very attentive and very friendly just how it should be. Only small gripe was that they had another sitting coming in behind us and we felt a bit rushed towards the end but a small gripe after a stunning meal and excusable given the extra golf traffic.

Gorgeous food and top service. Lovely choice of wines and the food is locally sourced and inventive. yum! Would only go for a special occasion though as it quite pricey if you are drinking wine. Also the portions are quite small so you need to have 3 courses to feel full!

We heard about the place via friends, and the hotel recommended it too. So here we are during our holidays...

First of all the location is nice, on a street corner next to the river. Easy to find.

Then the welcome: the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming.

For the food: simply delicious. The dishes are original, perfectly prepared, tasty, refined. A mix between probably some kind of Scottish heritage and modern international cooking.
The only negative, but that's common to 99% of restaurants in Scotland and the UK, when you order rare meat, you get medium rare. But still it was delicious.
The desserts themselves are also excellent and a good way to finish the evening :-)

And their whisky menu is great too for after dinner (as most other places in Scotland ;-) )
