“Very Friendly Hosts”
Reviewed June 3, 2013

This B &B is on the outskirts of Inverness and although within walking distance it is still about 20-25 minutes trek from the centre of town. The location itself is in a quiet side road off the main road, having its own parking. Five good sized bedrooms are comfortably fitted out with good amenities' and are well serviced.

The breakfast was not as good as some that I have experienced in this part of the world with the cooked breakfast a mixture of good quality items with some that are less so. The pastries on offer were unappetising and the provision of other items were of a convenience nature rather than fresh produce.

The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful making for a pleasant stay.

Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I'm glad you had a pleasant stay at Dunhallin and, overall, enjoyed the experience.
I'm sorry you were not completely happy with the breakfast. We do our best to provide an appetising breakfast choice and vary the items on offer as much as practicable so that guests staying for several days have some variety. During a recent no-notice inspection by Visit Scotland, in May 2013, the inspector upgraded our breakfast provision to "Excellent".
Thanks for choosing to stay at Dunhallin; I hope you will visit again when in Inverness.

We spent two nights here whilst travelling around Scotland. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. It is a fantastic place with spacious rooms and a nice common area with plenty of books to read. Great breakfast!

We needed to be near the airport for our flights back home and it is an easy drive from here. We had a lovely comfortable room and a warm welcome. Excellent choice for breakfast and it was delicious. We were later than planned, so it was good to have a local restaurant within walking distance. We would certainly stay here again.

We had a wonderful (if too short) time at Dunhallin House. We felt very welcome and enjoyed our spacious and beautiful room. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. Dunhallin House offers a laptop for guest's use which we found very handy to have. They also recommended a good restaurant nearby. Highly recommendable B+B.

We stayed at Dunhallin House whilst cycling our Lands End to John o Groats adventure in September 2012, and received the warmest welcome on our whole trip. Arriving on bikes in the rain, we were promptly shown to the drying room to hang up our soaking clothes, and the garage as we had repairs to make to our bikes. We had a very early morning the next day and needed to set off prior to breakfast, so Sandy made us the best pack up we've ever had - it certainly saw us through the long hard day up to Tongue, in the wind and rain, and we were very thankful for the hospitality we'd received at Dunhallin House. Great place - would love to return, and certainly recommend to anyone staying in Inverness

John and I (not gay, work colleagues) left Leicester in the very early hours of Friday morning to complete several jobs, we finished up in Alness.
We knew that we had to get to Inverness that evening to sleep, get watered and fed.
I called to see what rooms were available, the phone was answred and was told a twin room was available.
We arrived with a great welcome, shown the room which I must say looked very comfortable and modern. Our breakfast in the morning was brought forward as we needed to get on the road not only to get home but to finish the jobs that were set - it was not a problem for the earlier breakfast, it seemed than no request was an issue at all.
Great breakfast, fantastic location (for us), very clean and comfortable - recomendation all round!!!!!!
