“Very pleasent stay”
Reviewed March 14, 2011

We stayed at Dunhallin for 3 nights at the end of February and were very impressed with our stay overall. The hotel was beautiful, decorated with motifs from the owners' travels around the globe and the room was beautiful and spacious with ensuite facilities which were spotless. The room had its own Living area with TV/DVD combo television. They had wide range of DVD you could borrow which was a nice touch. It also had tea/coffee making facilities. The only slight fault with the rooms was that they were very difficult to get into due to difficult locks to open and close! Also the front door was tough to enter due to the draft excluder that had been put in place.
The breakfasts were good, with a wide range of choice from full cooked to fresh fruit. It was served in the very cosy breakfast room.
The hosts was very friendly and accommodating. When we needed to leave early on the last day, they did our breakfast extra early. When we needed some extra milk, they were more than happy to provide. They were very gracious and helpful.
The one thing that was a slight drawback was that the parking was slightly awkward. A couple times we found it difficult getting off the drive due to other cars being parked inconsiderably and even on one occasion we were blocked and had to get the hostess to ask the owner to move their car! Also it might be worth phoning the hotel to get the correct SAT NAV address as the one they have on the website does not take you to the correct place.
I would definitely recommend anyone going to Inverness to stay here. It really was a pleasure staying here. Thank you

We stayed at the Dunhallin House as part of a trip around Scotland, in which Inverness was one of the stops. This was, by a huge distance, the best stay of all (if not my all stays in all travels ever).
The house and the rooms were as clean as if the maid had just left, the rooms had a quality and a confort that you just don't find anywhere, I could've stayed there and not go out at all, I felt completely at home.
The rooms are beautifully decorated with motifs from the owners' travels around the globe, very cozy and spacious. The house is quiet and you sleep like a baby.
Decoration, as said, is fantastic, there are lots of travel books you can take and read before you sleep, there's a laptop you can use and a small pleasant room where you can enjoy all these.
Breakfast is served at the time you request with that you want to eat by the lady owner in a cute little room.
There are places to park your car, too.
Only drawback is that you're not exactly in the city center. You can walk, but it's not practical. Easier to take a taxi or to take your own car if you rented one, it's like 5-10 minutes into the center.
Finally, the owners are super friendly and super helpful! yes, super, they really aim to please and to help and to meet your needs.
Would totally repeat, would totally recommend!

The Dunhallin House was very inviting and cozy, as well as spacious at the same time. Outstanding breakfasts and an extremely clean (and large) room made for a memorable stay. We enjoyed the hosts who were gracious and helpful. Highly recommended!

We had to organise an overnight stay in Inverness & booked Dunhallin from a website. It exceeeded expectations. We pay a small extra amount for the larke room and it was beautifully appointed with a good seating area with leather couch. Ensuite facilites were very good and the whole room was extremely pleasantly furnished. On arrival we were offered fresh milk for our tea tray and touches like this make all the difference. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay there again for a longer period.

Clean spacious and well decorated rooms with good quality en-suite. The owners were very friendly and helpful, a computer was supplied with internet access free of charge in a pleasant small sitting area. For travelers there is a really good selection of world travel books.

Stayed 2 nights at the Dunahllin House and really enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and the en-suite bathroom was roomy. They have free wifi in the rooms, which was a plus to plan our time in Inverness. Margaret was a delightful hostess and helped with directions and suggestions. Breakfast was very good with an assortment of cereals and yogurt, along with full cooked Scottish breakfast. Would highly reccomemd the Dunahllin house for Inverness area.
