Inverglen is in a quiet area only about 10 minutes walk from the station and city centre, and we enjoyed two nights there on a rail trip. It has a large residents’ lounge and lots of information about the area. The choice of breakfasts was excellent. However, what made it most special was John and Susan’s cheerful, friendly helpfulness, which included a pre-arrival email with recommendations for eating places. As for Inverness, we found it a much more attractive city, especially along the river, than we had realised from passing through previously.
