Very convenient, central location. Room clean and comfortable plus added bonus of a nice guest lounge; breakfasts good. Hosts John and Elizabeth generous and helpful. Staff member Sue so friendly - a great asset! recommended.

My wife and I spent two days at Ardconnel House, John & Elizabeth made us fell at home.
Comfortable en-suite room, great Scottish breakfast, we also appreciated very much the fruit salad. Both John & Elizabeth helped us with useful hints for visiting Inverness and places nearby.

Room Tip: Rooms are on multiple floors, so if you have problem with stairs ask for a first floor room.

From the moment we walked in the front door, we knew we had made the right decision in coming to Ardconnel Guest House. John and Elizabeth are truly wonderful hosts and their home is absolutely spotless. We have stayed here for 2 weeks and have nothing but admiration and satisfaction with the way they run this place. We met some other visitors who have been coming back here time and time again. We know where we will be staying next time we come back! Breakfast was wonderful and the menu is plentiful. Freshly cooked to your request. Porridge was so delicious! Sue who helps out is a real character and has a great wit and very warm disposition. She has a natural way of connecting with guests. Well done John and Elizabeth, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay with you and would have no hesitation in recommending Ardconnel to anyone visiting Inverness. I forgot to mention the location is just perfect, central to town centre but very quiet. All the best to everyone at Ardconnel Guest House. We love you. Fred and Marg

In a two week holiday in Scotland with 7 stay-overs, this was our favorite place. Warm welcome, great hosts, and excellent food! John checked us in and gave us some great advice about dinner in town. Our room was immaculate and very comfortable, and the bath was lovely (the only place we stayed in Scotland that provided wash cloths in addition to the toiletries!). The house is well-appointed with a large lounge for guests. Breakfast was excellent, and both Sue and Elizabeth were gracious, helpful, and delightful. There is a short walk to town, and easy parking for those traveling by car. Highly recommended!!

Great hosts, fabulous food. Room 3 is a single with separate bathroom, is divine, best bath ever , nice and long, shower available too, toiletries provided. Waitress Sue is fantastic. Nothing too much trouble for hosts. Close enough to town, but up steep steps if on foot, those with impaired mobility would benefit from a vehicle.

Room Tip: Single people who enjoy a bath, opt for room 3. Not ensuite but bath is to die for. Only two steps a...

I cannot say enough about how truly wonderful our stay at Ardconnel House was. To begin with there was my husband and I booking our stay, then our friends as well; all with different and odd schedules. John and Elizabeth didn't bat an eye in accommodating us. Then there was the warm welcome, the beautiful house, the great local recommendations, the lovely room and the delicious breakfast. Not to mention the absolute perfect location for exploring Inverness! Elizabeth, John and Sue made our visit to Inverness truly special; we felt like family. Last, but not least: Our group of four was at the train station with 20 minutes before our train to Edinburgh was set to depart when I realized that my wallet was missing. We tore through my luggage to no, went through where I had last seen it and thought we should try calling John and Elizabeth to see if I had dropped it there. As fast as lightning, John was able to find my wallet. Due to our extremely tight time crunch, he also personally drove it down to the train station, passing it off to my husband, who sprinted to catch up with me as we both hopped on the train right as it was leaving the station. What a life saver!!! That is true hospitality and kindness at its extreme and very best. Thank you so much John, you truly saved our whole group and I am deeply grateful!
You can't go wrong with Ardconnel House, you just can't.
