“Good Choice”
Reviewed May 19, 2014

This was our first trip to Inverness and we couldn't have had a better experience.
Without exception the staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient and seemed to care that we enjoyed our stay.
The room was clean & quiet, the breakfast substantial and a good choice as was dinner.
The hotel is a 10/15 minute walk into the centre of Inverness but a 5 minute drive if the weather is inclement. It's ideally placed for travelling by car to the many attractions in the area.

Room Tip: We were at the back on the ground floor and it was quiet.

I stay in premier inn regularly on business and pleasure but the staff in this one were second only to the Ritz in London. (Yes I mean it!!)
EVERY member of staff was pleasant and chatty beyond any corporate minimum standards and all were keen to help with anything in any way they could. Why waste good money on an expensive hotel only to receive better service in a Premier Inn?
In particular I would like to acknowledge Vicky and Dean whom we dealt with the most.

I made two bookings for one night a week apart but couldn't do this on one visit to the website. This meant I had to pay 2x credit card fees. Poor. Advance purchase meant that these couldn't be altered at all. First night was fine. Great staff, very keen to help. Room excellent. Couldn't take up the second booking due to an unexpected family event and it was impossible to change the booking to the night before because of the advance purchase. By then it was therefore cheaper to stay in another equally comfortable hotel. Surely it should be possible to change even an advance purchase booking on payment of a fee. The room could have been resold too. Hence poor score for value.

Stayed here so I could attend a football match at Inverness. Excellent base for visiting stadium and also for town centre. Stayed the Friday night so shopped in Inverness on the Saturday morning then football in the afternoon. 5 minutes from stadium in car and only 2 mins into town centre by car although you could easily walk to both from hotel.

Room was excellent - large, very clean and comfortable. Didn't here a single noise all night which led to best sleep ive had in a hotel for ages. Staff that I encountered were extremely helpful and friendly. Didn't eat at hotel as headed into town for both evening meal and breakfast.

Will stay again in future and recommend to others.

Had a stay over in Inverness whilst on holiday with my wife and daughter, and we decided to book a family room for our one night stay. Really couldn't fault the hotel, the room was very comfortable, and spotlessly clean, the hotel staff were excellent, and in terms of location, it is only a 10 minute walk into the town centre. The bed was comfy and we had a great nights sleep, even with the single bed in the room for my daughter, there was plenty of room.

We had our evening meal next door at the Auld Distillery pub and restaurant, which was also very nice. The restaurant looked like it had been recently re decorated in a quite cool theme. The menu was huge, and the food was excellent, and also quite reasonably priced. As we had eaten here the night before, we decided to also have breakfast there the next morning, which was also great. Handy tip, if you have kids with you, they eat breakfast for free if an adult has the Premier breakfast. We did that and it saved us nearly £9 on the cost of breakfast.

All in all, a very pleasant and relaxing stay, and would definitely stay there again.
