This is the second time we have stayed in the cottages and they were just as great this second time around. They are very clean and the fresh flowers and fruit in the bowl are so welcoming. The cottages themselves are equipped with everything you could need, including washing machine and tumble drier. Their location is perfect for exploring the countryside of the Highlands or heading in to Inverness. Mr & Mrs Lawson are lovely - they are very friendly, approachable and helpful with any enquiries but very unobtrusive during your stay.

“Excellently located and comfortable cottage”
Reviewed June 22, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

My wife and I stayed here for a week. We found the cottage to be very well equipped and maintained. Every thing you could possibly need had been thought of. The conservatory with views down to the Beauly Firth was great for planning the day, or relaxing later and reviewing the day. It is very easy to use the location as a base for accessing the eastern Scottish highlands. At the same time, the east-west train journey from the nearby Beauly station right across Scotland to the west coast at Kyle of Lochalsh is not to be missed. Dolphin-spotting boat trips on the Cromarty Firth can also be easily accessed. There are many good eating places within easy reach. Special mention must be made of 'The Old North Inn,' because it's the nearest, it's reasonably priced, and the food is very good.

“Fantastic weekend”
Reviewed April 19, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

On recommendation from a family member, we emailed for a last minute booking over Easter weekend. Luckily one of the cottages was free. The location is superb, a 10 minute drive from Inverness. Met by a very welcoming Sheena, we had fantastic views over the moray firth to the black isle and Ben wyvis. Accommodation was outstanding, large sitting room, huge open plan kitchen with all mod cons, and sun room big enough for a full 3 piece suite and room left over. 2 large bedrooms with washing machine &dryer etc. & A fantastic bathroom.
All in all a perfect holiday home, within easy driving distance of Inverness & east coast, black isle and northwards, and beauly, dingwall and all points to west coast.
Fantastic, we will be back.

“Best Holiday Home Ever!”

I visited with my daughter and two grand-daughters. The booking was very easy. We had a personal and very friendly welcome from Sheena who then showed us around the property. It was spotlessly clean and had every facility you could possibly need, including washing machine and tumble dryer. There were personal touches such as fresh flowers, fresh fruit and a tray of tea bags, coffee etc and also milk in the fridge. The setting is so quiet and peaceful and yet central for many activities. The ice-cream shop in Beauly is a must for any visitor - young or old! We will definitely be back.

“Excellent and very comfortable cottage”
Reviewed July 12, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Stayed in cottage two for a week from the 11th June 2016. Excellent cottage very clean and comfortable everything you could possible need for a relaxing holiday. Fresh fruit and flowers on arrival. Lovely views over farmland a good way to spend an evening sitting in the conservatory enjoying the views after a walk along peaceful country lanes.
Sheena and Doug very pleasant and helpful.
Beauly a lovely wee village only 5 miles away. Priory Hotel meals very good value and tasty.
Will definitely be back next year.

“10 stars!!”

A large bowl of fresh fruit and bouquet of roses welcomed us, the owners' very nice son in law gave us a tour of the cottage. As mentioned, the cottage was spotless, comfortable, well equipped, and looks new although 7 yrs old, and the sitting porch is very spacious and has beautiful views from cottage 1. Doug gave generously of his time, talked to us about the farming operation, and when we had a flat tire down at the main road, stayed to talk to the AA, then called the tire repair shop in Inverness to give them directions. Even gave them his phone no. in case they couldnt reach us. We can't say enough good things about their warmth, generosity, and attention to detail. Thank you, Dougie and Sheena!

I have over the years had many cottage holidays in various locations in the UK. This particular setting has four cottages which form a courtyard.

I believe they were originally farm cottages and no expense has been spared to cater for everyone's needs. Everything has been thought of to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

So much so we could stay here on a permanent basis. The view from cottage number one over the Beauly Firth is to die for.

Doug and Sheena Lawson are the perfect hosts and I congratulate them on their efforts and planning to ensure that the cottages are of such a high standard and for my family are nothing short of "Excellent".

Liked best: Everything.
Liked least: Being emailed by Trip Advisor half way through my holiday to give a review and not being able to contact them to express that I would prefer to give a review when my holiday is over than half way through it. This has no reflection on the holiday.
