“Excellent and very comfortable cottage”
Reviewed July 12, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Stayed in cottage two for a week from the 11th June 2016. Excellent cottage very clean and comfortable everything you could possible need for a relaxing holiday. Fresh fruit and flowers on arrival. Lovely views over farmland a good way to spend an evening sitting in the conservatory enjoying the views after a walk along peaceful country lanes.
Sheena and Doug very pleasant and helpful.
Beauly a lovely wee village only 5 miles away. Priory Hotel meals very good value and tasty.
Will definitely be back next year.

A large bowl of fresh fruit and bouquet of roses welcomed us, the owners' very nice son in law gave us a tour of the cottage. As mentioned, the cottage was spotless, comfortable, well equipped, and looks new although 7 yrs old, and the sitting porch is very spacious and has beautiful views from cottage 1. Doug gave generously of his time, talked to us about the farming operation, and when we had a flat tire down at the main road, stayed to talk to the AA, then called the tire repair shop in Inverness to give them directions. Even gave them his phone no. in case they couldnt reach us. We can't say enough good things about their warmth, generosity, and attention to detail. Thank you, Dougie and Sheena!

I have over the years had many cottage holidays in various locations in the UK. This particular setting has four cottages which form a courtyard.

I believe they were originally farm cottages and no expense has been spared to cater for everyone's needs. Everything has been thought of to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

So much so we could stay here on a permanent basis. The view from cottage number one over the Beauly Firth is to die for.

Doug and Sheena Lawson are the perfect hosts and I congratulate them on their efforts and planning to ensure that the cottages are of such a high standard and for my family are nothing short of "Excellent".

Liked best: Everything.
Liked least: Being emailed by Trip Advisor half way through my holiday to give a review and not being able to contact them to express that I would prefer to give a review when my holiday is over than half way through it. This has no reflection on the holiday.

“Everything we needed”
Reviewed September 17, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Lentran Cottage is in a great location with wonderful views of Beauly Firth. We stayed in number 1. The cottage was exceptionally clean. After a small apartment in Edinburgh it was great to have all the space that Lentran had. It is a working barley farm with the barley going to the malters in Inverness for the Malt Whisky industry. It was very convenient worth short drives to both Inverness and Beauly. Great location as a home base to tour the region; Loch Ness, Culloden, Cawdor Castle and the Speyside Distilleries.

“Great place to visit the Highlands”
Reviewed August 29, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Nessie5400 tells it all. It is a great place to stay; the best we've been to in the same price range (clean, well-equiped...) Our 2 boys (2-1/2 and 6) loved their room and found plenty of space to play inside and outside (would have loved to see a bit more of the tractor !). Sad to leave.

“Welcoming owners, a stunning view and nothing to complain about”
Reviewed July 23, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Fresh flowers and fruit, a great selection of books and DVD's and simply every equipment you could possibly need during your stay from a washing
machine with tumbler and ironing board over towels and hairdriers to a spacious kitchen with fridge and microwave - the owners of the Courtyard
Cottages try their best to make you feel at home - and they definitely succeed! Lentran is ideally situated for exploring the surrounding area
(which is described in a range of tourist guides and two DVDs) and the cottages offer not only peace and quiet but also a stunning view of the sea
and the mountains. In conclusion, there is absolutely nothing we could complain about and we would like to recommend the Courtyard Cottages to
everyone who is looking for some unforgettable days in the Highlands of Bonnie Scotland.

“Stunning views, Amazing property, Perfect location and very welcoming owners”
Reviewed July 13, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

The property had everything we needed from the moment we walked in the door. The owner Dougie met us there and was a very welcoming and showed us around. They put 2 cots in the rooms for our small children and also a high chair and all was very clean and brand new looking. Loads of towels, great kitchen space and kitchen wear ( Im a chef so very important to me and I was very happy), comfy beds, very cozy. This cottage was literally a home from home for me and my family and we will 100% be coming back and probably a few times each year as I have family who we visit in Inverness.

There are 4 cottages all together with a shared courtyard so this property would be perfect for large groups all meeting up or holidaying.
