What a wonderful place to stay... All was simply perfect: the house, the dog so cute, the room with the view on the sea, the bed, the breakfast, and above all: the host! The room was so clean, so nice.
We will be back for sure as soon as we can!!!
We highly recommend it

Very nice location on the North Sea near Inverness. The cottage has been renovated at its best. Very nice rooms with comfortable beds. Everything is very clean and well thought of. Breakfast is one of the best I have had anywhere. The owner and his dog are very friendly. I highly recommend it!

We stayed over for one night and only wished it could be more. Branston the dog is adorable, the room we stayed in overloooked the sea and was absolutely spotless, modern and luxurious. Bradley is a great guy and truly deserves the excellent reviews he has worked so hard for. I can't wait to go back to inverness.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights the week before xmas. The room, facilities and views were stunning combine that with a very attentive host and a very lovable dog that took a real shine to my husband (and my feet!!!) made it a superb holiday. The views from our Juliet balcony were just as amazing in the winter and I felt very privileged to wake up to that view and very jealous of Bradley who has that every day. The cleanliness was excellent and all facilities catered for to a very high standard. Loved the breakfast choices which were cooked to perfection. Had a very relaxed stay and Bradley and Branston made leave feeling like we had made a friend and would definitely return.

Room Tip: Amazing views from the luxurious king size room.

How do you describe a dream place to stay while in Scotland ? Well, we now believe that is Beach Cottage B&B ! Everything we encountered and experienced ( accept for a flat tire - but that is a story in and of itself ) during our visit to Beach Cottage was SUPERB. It started during the lovely drive to the isolated but beautiful location of the Beach Cottage to being so warmly and graciously greeted by Bradley and four legged pal Branston. Within minutes of our arrival they made us feel very welcome and we were chatting away as if we had known each other for years. Bradley gave us a quick orientation to the Cottage and surroundings and showed us to our cozy room on the second floor of this beautifully refurbished whitewashed cottage where our window looked right out onto the water. We had hoped to see some of the seals, or otters or even dolphins that frequent these parts.....but, alas, no such luck ... but plenty of birds. After settling in, and another wee but informative chat with Brad we headed out to the Cawdor Tavern....near the Cawdor Castle ( of course ) for a wonderful dinner.
As an aside, we learned that Cawdor Castle was used by Shakespeare for the castle we have all read about in Mac Beth. No shortage of history hereabouts ! Then to bed for a great rest next to the water. Be sure to seek and take Brad's recommendations for wonderful eating and visiting experiences....we are certainly glad that we did. Brad and Branston were wonderful breakfast hosts, great morning conversations and the cooking is superb...and filling - - enhancing our visit. The room was clean, had a great shower, bed and, as mentioined, the view was breathtaking. Loved the location and the drive thru farm land to reach the pointe...but watch out for errant sheep on the road ! Bottom Line = we had a magnificient time and will definitely recommend this B&B treasure to others ( already have done so ) and hope to return again in near future.

Room Tip: Ask for the room with the wonderful view onto the stony beach and across the beautiful inlet

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and so glad we stayed did. Managed to see a seal swim by (just missed it with the camera) but kept finding myself staring out the window hoping to see something (think we went at a bad time of year for the wildlife) very unique location and when the clouds cleared bradley called out for us to see the snow on the mountains and managed to get some great pics. Loved the breakfast, fruits, cheeses and salami as well as having my first taste of black pudding which I loved. Beautiful room. The host Bradley has a great sense of humour and very interesting to chat to. Didn't love Inverness as much as I had hoped however staying here really made the trip up there worthwhile!

The main difference between a good experience and a great one is the quality of the host and, I must say, Bradley was probably the best in our vacation through Scotland.
Not only he's great at cooking and cleaning, but he's also VERY funny. You can see he's not making forced conversation in the morning, I think he actually enjoys having travellers in his house which, by the way, is astonishing.
I must tell you the location is not central, you have to drive 10 minute from the city centre, but when you arrive the landscape is incredible, in my opinion far better than the one in Inverness.
It's located on a beach where you can stay and relax (when it doesn't rain, of course).
When it's clear you can also see sea lions, otters and dolphins (can't tell if the last one is a legend or not - certainly is funnier than trying to see the Lochness monster).
Last but not least, he's got a very funny dog named Bradston (or something similar, can't remember its name sorry), if you love dogs you'll also appreciate it, if you don't, it's very calm so don't worry.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Beach Cottage is an idyllic bed and breakfast located on the shores of the Moray Firth only 6 miles from Inverness City Centre. The B&B has a quiet, semi rural location and offers accommodation with stunning sea views. The 200 plus year old cottage has been extended and refurbished to a high standard with two en suite rooms, the Moray and the Beauly. Moray is in the new part of the cottage and has french doors with a Juliet balcony and offers panoramic views of the Moray Firth from Inverness to the South West around to Fort George and Chanonry Point to the North East. Beauly is in the old part of the cottage and offers similar views but they can be seen from the comfort of seats in the bay window. Please note that Beauly has old wood beams and the shower in the en suite has a low ceiling not really suitable for anyone taller than 1.8M. Dolphins, porpoises, seals and sea otters can frequently be spotted from the cottage as well as a huge variety of different species of birds. An idyllic and peaceful location with beautiful scenery. Due to the semi rural location it is necessary to have a vehicle. ... more   less
