We were a party of 11 arriving at all different times. The owner was so hospitable when his kitchen closed at 9. Nine of us were seated and enjoying drinks and two of us were just getting there. He was gracious and got our party all fed and relaxed after a long weary day of travel. The food was very good and everyone had something different. The croo elected to go back a second time while we were in town. Make your reservations on the OpenTable app. So much easier to make sure you don't miss the kitchen times for any place in this area.

We have just arrived for 2 night stay and decided to have dinner at the restaurant on recommendation. The food and service was so good. Lovely staff. We enjoyed the Haddock for dinner and even though the kitchen closes at 9pm the lovely waitress said she would keep our dessert of choice aside so we can go for a walk and come back for coffee and dessert later. If you stay here have dinner as well!

Very good food - had Angus steak 2 nights in a row. Husband had pizza and fish & chips both outstanding. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Right across the street from our lovely b&b. Would recommend.

Quaint old hotel within walking distance to downtown. Breakfast included and is very good. Dinner was very good and so is the brick oven pizza.
The rooms are small. No place to put your suitcase except on the floor under the tv or on the lone chair. Doors SLAM during the night with late night arrivals. No a/c, so you must have your window open. We were above the kitchen and patio thus smelling cigarette smoke and hearing the people sitting outside below us. Not sure if there is much choice around the area for hotels. Just fair.

Room Tip: Not sure I can recommend staying here overnight

This hotel was perfect for our two day stay. The staff are all helpful and knowledgeable. The rooms were updated yet still charming. The restaurant was simple elegance and the food was great. We had a Highland Wood fired pizza one night that was really good. It is a short walk to the city center and the pubs and shopping. We would certainly stay there again and hope to do so.
