Everything you'd expect from a Premier Inn. Clean, comfortable, well trained friendly staff, good prices and brilliantly situated for the centre of Inverness. Lots of walks, restaurants and shops nearby.

Stayed several times before and always been good, have only had breakfast here so cannot comment on the dinner. This is the perfect location for anyone visiting Inverness as it is right in the centre.

I booked the room as a cheap and cheerful one night stay!!! It was so much more, staff are extremely friendly and helpful, room was comfortable with everything we needed. We had our evening meal and breakfast here too, the food was excellent and there was a lovely relaxing atmosphere. I will definitely be back.

There's a friendly Highland welcome when you arrive. We have stayed here a few times. Being a fairly new Premier Inn, check in is mostly self-service, with a receptionist on hand to assist you to walk through the touch-screen computerised process.

The location is perfect, it is very central. At the time of this review, there are major anti flood works along the river banks, one on which, this hotel is situated. It does mean there are road closures and diversions to negotiate.

While there are motor directions available on the Inn website, they use local knowledge in journey description, which a visitor would not benefit from. A few road/street names would be more helpful, rather than, say, 'when you get to the X roads you will see an old [name] wine shop, then turn left'. The wine shop closed a long time ago and the outline of its previous ownership name is barely visible. Apart from that, the friendly information is a really kind thought.

The Inn and its rooms were kept very clean. The rooms are corporately decorated and fresh looking. Basic toiletries are provided. Where they can, the Inn will cater for special requests. I do not think one hand towel per room, throughout the Premier Inn franchise, as ordered by head office, is appropriate. As a consequence hand towels become a special request, if you require more ask, an extra hand towel will be given.

If you require assistance, you either visit reception on the ground floor, or, phone, using your cell phone. There are no hotel room phones. The receptionist responded very quickly to the request we made to adjust the very low volume setting for the TV in our room. It was good after the adjustment.

Even though we reduced the heating level of the thermostat, overnight our room became too hot for us. We turned off the heating. Eventually, we opened the window to cool down the room. Admittedly, this is an unusual experience in Premier Inns and especially, in early March. There were some plumbing and noisy heating/AC equipment maintenance issues on the 4th floor, we drew to the attention of the staff ,which, may have had some bearing on our experience. It was not enough of an issue, we felt, to invoke the good night guarantee, though it would have been offered.

30 minutes free wifi per day is offered to all customers at Premier Inns. More time can be purchased. In this Inn, the 30 minutes on offer also applies to use of equipment in the bar and restaurant.

The breakfast arrangements were well run with competent and friendly staff. Breakfast choice, continental for us, was excellent. The Inn has a small Thyme restaurant . We did not use it this visit, however, previous meal experiences have been good.

Reception, breakfast and bar staff were most attentive and helpful.

Room Tip: There are a limited number of rooms overlooking The River Ness. Rooms at the back are quieter. In th...

A repeat visit with the same glowing report regarding the excellent location, convenient for the Rail Station, the Bus Station, long-term car-parking, shops, restaurants, theatre, riverside walks etc. Every person who looked after us at the reception, in the bar and in the restaurant is pleasant and willing to help.

This time we chose the optional 3 course dinner + drink + full cooked breakfast [£22.99 each] that was excellent. Breakfast omelettes and poached eggs were cooked on request and perfect.
