“Cheap, Clean, Comfortable, Very Friendly and Great Food”
Reviewed June 11, 2013

I stayed here with a few friends while touring Scotland on motorbikes. The Hotel is clean and simple, little bit dated but the prices reflects this.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Food in the bar is excellent and the location is just a walk to town.

Having read other reviews & being light sleepers I had telephoned & e-mailed in advance requesting if possible, a quiet room away from the traffic noise. I was assured the room allocated would be quiet, but it was far from being that! Be aware if booking to be SURE your room is at the rear, away from the traffic noise from a very busy crossroads & traffic lights. Bathroom definitely requires refurbishing as the mould around the bath was disgusting. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was adequate but the lady serving never spoke apart from the necessary questions re our breakfast requirements. A little friendliness goes a long way! Reception staff pleasant. Hotel is handy for town centre.

Room Tip: No lifts so not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties. Reuest room away from traffic noise.

We picked this hotel when we arrived without a booking in Inverness. We needed a hotel with a good car park. The price for a double room and breakfast for two was £69, which we thought surprisingly modest. The evening meal was good and the waiter service was excellent. We liked it so much we decided to stay for another evening. We didn't have wine the second evening and the bill for two nights d, b & b was £202, very good for a hotel close to the centre of Inverness.

Found this hotel at the last minute, was shopping all day and not enough hours in the day... anyway not one hotel in Inverness would take a small dog but this hotel did, it was fabulous, great price and they had an evening menu at £24 for two steaks and a bottle of wine.... incredible.... best value in town.... and the staff were amazing.. very clean, great value, could not fault this hotel.... Thankyou

Good hotel, nice location, really nice, friendly and helpful staff. Good value for money. The rooms were a bit old, the furniture and decor was more on the faulty towers side of life!! could do with updating. The windows were not double glazing so it was a bit cold in the room, having said that, the hotel had supplied an electric heater to compensate. Good power shower in the evening, although there was no hot water in the morning. turned out the boiler had broken during the night. but this was fixed by mid morning, so we managed to shower.
Breakfast was ok, too much out of the tin, but there was enough variety of everything you need for breakfast. The location of the place was good, near the city centre and an easy walk.

Really nice and pleasant staff especially at breakfast, and the breakfast did have a wide selection, there was something for everyone, the hotel was within easy reach of the city centre and easy to find. Would definitely recommend but request a room at the back,

Only drawback was that we were at the front next to busy road so traffic noise was quite bad, these rooms could benfit from secondary double glazing

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back

Was very impressed with this small hotel. Warmly greeted by lady who despite running the bar, waitressing and maintaining the reception, stayed very pleasant throughout. Room was big and nicely decorated, had a well stocked hospitality tray, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, bathroom was a bit tired though. Was delighted that an extra electric heater was placed in bedroom to make it cosy. Dinner was first class, really nicely presented, tasty and great value for money. Breakfast was adequate.
Bar was basic but clean and had a few locals in watching sky sports. You will find more upmarket bars a short walk away.
If I was to make any small criticism it would be with the quality of curtains in the bedroom, they really let the whole room down. Oh and be aware that there are plenty of electrical sockets in the room only look behind the curtains for them!
If you want a good quality hotel at a very reasonable price then I would recommend you say here.
