So, my brother was up visiting for one night, all the way from North Wales. - quite a few hundred miles away! Where shall we eat asks he- well, what did he fancy? A steak house, I started. Done says he. When you entertain your friends and relatives and the burden is on us to make sure they are content, I certainly wasn't worried about Mcgonagalls as I had been there before and wasn't disappointed. We started off with the black pudding and scallops with a parsnip purée. We all agreed that this was an excellent way to start. A selection of steaks later (I had T-bone, blue and it was actually blue :) ) and a bottle of house red and we were all very satisfied and happy. The price was right, the food done to a tee and the service was tip-top. As I have said before, there are very few restaurants in Inverness that could be classed as average or below.
