We enjoyed our stay with Rodney and Gail who were very friendly and helpful. The guest house was very clean, the bed and pillows comfortable, we had a light airy room. The location is great for lovely walks by the River Ness, and is in walking distance of the town, lots of choices for eating. We would certainly stay again.

Wonderful b&b. We were looking to economize and were pleasantly surprised to find a wonderful family run b&b with such delightful hosts. Came as guests and feel as though we left as friends of Rodney and Gail. They were extremely accommodating and helpful. Quiet location in close proximity to the river and 5 minute walk to the bridge across the river to downtown. We strongly recommend you chech this place out.

One of the better B&b's in Inverness for the price; friendly, comfortable, and within 10 mins walk of the centre.

We have visited Rodney and Gail regularly since they took ownership of Craignay but had also used the location with the previous owner. The atmosphere for us is very relaxing as we are often working for a prominent Scottish Clan Association during the summer Highland Games Events and at other times of the year, which can result in long hectic days.Craignay is more welcoming now than ever as the present owners have put their own personality and work into giving the house back it's former grace and character following on some previous work from the former proprietor. The rooms have had extensive work both in creating on-suite facilities and neo period furnishings and are all very comfortable. It is still our first choice just for a pure chill out as the location is a very handy walk for restaurants, entertainment and local scenery. The choice and quality of the breakfast menu is very good covering most visitors needs.

Room Tip: Upper floor rooms at the front give a view across the Northern Meeting Park to the Eden Court Theatr...

We regularly stay here for weekends away but please don't see this as a biased review just because we're from the same part of the country as the owners, Rodney and Gail! There is always a warm and friendly welcome and a nice hearty cooked breakfast or cereal etc if you prefer. Rodney manages to create a really relaxing, laid-back atmosphere and the grand town house is always a home from home for us. Only 5 minutes walk from the river and the shops on Ardross Street. Plenty parking once the workers have gone home although there always seems to be a spare place to park regardless of time of day. Inverness has some cracking eating places and you can find some of these literally down the street and round the corner so the B and B is very well located. They have singles, doubles and twins so the flexibility is there too. You'll enjoy your stay!

Room Tip: The double/family rooms upstairs at the front are really nice.

We got first Class service from owners Rodney and Gale before and during my stay. They came down from Orkney originally and bought this classy guest house in the centre of Inverness a few years ago. The building is quite grand, with impressive brass decoration in the entrance door and hallway and they have clearly developed the rooms to a high standard. My overall experience was more akin to visiting an old city hotel that has had a makeover rather than a B&B but they charge B&B prices so I'd recommend it to anyone - thanks guys!!

Room Tip: I selected a room from the website http://www.craignay-house.co.uk and was not dissapointed
