“Fantastic!”
Reviewed February 15, 2014 via mobile

Service is friendly, efficient and never intrusive. Had macaroni cheese, home made and delicious! Served with a bowl of huge homemade chips - a rarity these days in any restaurant. The burger was another huge homemade delight! And to top it off malteesers cheesecake with cream and ice cream..... amazing value for money at only £21!!!!

“A Gem”
Reviewed January 14, 2014

We really enjoyed this restaurant during out stay in Inverness. It was close to the hotel and the food was well done and lots of it. The kids had mac and cheese - homemade!, the beer was huge and the atmosphere was nice.

I wish we could have eaten later in the evening but the rule of thumb in the area we were told, kids are not meant to be out as mostly places become social areas. So we had to make sure to eat dinner early - so we ate around 5pm.

Had an evening meal here recently and loved it; nice wee place and a good menu featuring something for everyone. Service was friendly and efficient. Very enjoyable in every respect and we're looking forward to a return visit. Good value too.

“Delicious!”
Reviewed November 17, 2013

I visited Urquhart's for the first time on Bonfire Night; a few friends and I thought we would pop in for some food before going to Bught Park for the fireworks. The food was fantastic, the service was very good and its a very "comfortable" place to sit and chill out with friends, nice atmosphere. I would definitely go back!

“Birthday Surprise Lunch”
Reviewed November 7, 2013

Have to be honest and own up to the fact that I have lived in the Inverness area for a few years now and until recently had never heard of Urquharts Restaurant. Read previous reviews On restaurant and was intrigued so my wife, friends and I went there to celebrate my wife's birthday.

Overall the meals were good with big portions for those with big appetites, however the wide choice on the menu must put pressure on the kitchen staff and may be worthy of reconsideration.

A couple of minor observations on dishes served at our table the gravy and sauces accompanying the following main course and sweet need to be reduced dramatically, the lambs liver was literally swimming with gravy and the sticky toffee pudding needs to be served with less sauce to allow the custard or ice cream to compliment the pudding rather than overpower it.

Saying all this we shall return to the restaurant in the near future.
