Went on a Sat lunchtime in Jan 2013. Haven't been for years but have fond memories of great lunches here.
What a disappointment.
Arrived about 12.15pm for lunch and were seated quickly, albeit by a draughty door, although the restaurant cannot be blamed for people standing in a queue and holding the outer door open I guess.
Ordered drinks, 1coke, 1 coffee, 1 milkshake. The coke and milkshake arrived and at £3, we found the milkshake underwhelming. Tasted like Crusha mixed with milk and I suspect it was.
3 sandwiches ordered and they were small for a lunch portion at £5-6 each. The egg mayo was very salty, although the other two fillings were fine. The wholesale bread was stale but the white was fine.
Had to chase a waitress for my coffee which they seemed to have forgotten.
We were in there for 20 mins and spent over £23 for 3 drinks and 3 sandwiches.
OK, not the most expensive lunch in the world but it felt like poor value.
We left hungry and feeling a bit ripped off to be honest.
