We stayed here while we visited Inverness and surroundings. It's location is very good and the room was clean with the bed very comfortable. The only problem was the duvet thickness unsuitable for the summer. We had a full Highlander Scottish breakfast which was lovely. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed at this hotel only 1 night while doing a tour of the highland. We really like this hotel. We took the junior suite or familly room which are huge. There are no AC in the rooms but we were ok with the window open. the location is perfect with a minute walk from the restaurants and stores. The breakfast was very good! The only issue would be that there is no elevator and we were on the second floor with a stroller to carry. Other than that, i recommand this hotel and i would stay there again.

Excellent location, great room, good food, excellent service, and very nice people. Only fault - bathroom was too small. Definitely recommend. Walking distance to tourist information center, train station, bus station and all the best eateries.

I really felt like a guest. Very smart owners helpful, busy but at the same time very silent. Excellent breakfast that I enjoyed. I liked the atmosphere of the breakfast room. I will return first time when possible.

We really recommend this very pleasant place with its wonderful view on the river. Very beautiful rooms and confortable. Great breakfast with wonderful service.
Un incontournable selon nous si vous passez par Inverness. Le petit côté "standing" de ce B&B n'a pas été sans nous déplaire.
Et quelle vue!
À place to go
Thank you again

Where to start... we arrived having not pre booked anywhere and showed up on their doorstep politely asking how much for a night with or without breakfast. After being told it would be almost 150 pounds, we decided to try somewhere else. After riding around town, we found another hotel but they were unfortunately fully booked. The staff member there went out of her way and checked on a last minute website booking page for us and called the Glen Mhor on our behalf and surprise, surprise, got a room for 90 pounds! As I had been the one to originally go in and ask about prices, I was given the cold shoulder by the receptionist when we got back there, but husband-to-be was treated politely. But it didn't stop there, we got a room you couldn't swing a rat in let alone a cat and even then it overlooked over other peoples rooms and the kitchen. It was like a rabbit warren trying to get around and then when we eventually made it to dinner, fish and chips was 14 quid each! Even the beer was one of the most expensive places we drank at, and we beered and whiskied our way around the UK. No secure parking for the bike so not a recommended biker friendly place and I'm sure if you had a room with a river view, it would be lovely. But next time, just because people are dressed in bike gear, doesn't mean we're rough nuts who might start a blue in your hotel.

Such a fabulous place. In room 7 this time - beautiful view of the river, super comfy king sized bed. All the usual amenities - hairdryer, mini fridge, fresh milk, tea, coffee and hot chocolate etc, etc. Only downside to this room is the lack of DVD player - handy thing if your on your own. But not a major issue, just a point. Fabulous breakfast, very mannerly, friendly and thoughtful hosts. Really can't fault The Alexander. LOVE staying here.

Room Tip: If you are tall - avoid room 10. Very interesting turret feature - i like it - but probably not ove...
