After complaining about our first room we were upgraded to an Executive Room. The room was lovely but we were kept awake but a lot of noise from other guests and street noise.
Check in was 3pm and we did try to check in at 230pm and were told it was too early so we waited, we tried again at 2.55pm and were again told no which I thought was ridiculous for the sake of 5 mins!.
The breakfast is a buffet style breakfast and I couldn't fault it at all, also we ate in Ash which is the restaurant attached to the hotel and the food was good and at £6.95 for 2 courses was great value for money.
The hotel is In a good location.

I had to ask where the lift was even though you can see II am diisabled. Was not impressed at breakfast wasn't included. Would we stay there again, definitely not!

Very central hotel, surrounded by shops, bars and restaurants. Next door to the railway station, and only a few yards further to the bus station, where the Citybus tours start. Good food in the Ash restaurant, but even better food in the CastleTavern, just 5 minutes away and opposite the castle.

Room Tip: the suite with the 4 poster is beautiful, but overlooks the main road and can be noisy as many resta...

Thank you for the review and we shall definitely try to communicate with Nessie about your concern this time! While Ash remains one of the most popular eateries in Inverness and in which all our resident guests get a special offer, but being located in the City Centre, you also get a wide choice of restaurants and cuisines to choose from. Looking forward to welcome you again.

We stayed here with friends at the start of a road trip and the hotel fit our needs nicely. A very central location the hotel was nice and clean. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Decor and setup is classic Scottish complete with tartan carpets, stag head, and decent Scotch menu from the bar.
Breakfast gave decent options for a standard cooked buffet or continental which was sufficient and well priced. Rooms are not large but are comfortable, fairly standard for Europe.

We loved our stay here. Being right next to the railway station we just had to step out of the station and there the hotel was. Because we were there during a quiet period our hosts upgraded us to a four poster bed room, which was fantastic. The bed was so high off the ground I could sit on the side and still dangle my feet without them touching the ground. It was so big I could have slept on it sideways. It was also the only bed I've slept in that has its own curtains. The room was also quite large. Our hosts were also very generous in including a complimentary meal and drink. The hotel also has much historic charm, and is well adorned with paintings. The feel is great. I want to go back!

A very good hotel experience! Love the reception hall with its comfy chairs and stairs. It has some of that old grandness. Great big rooms. The staff were nice especially at breakfast, I felt that I was taken care of. Breakfast was great too. Hotel fire alarm went off at 4 at night when we where sleeping. That's a bit annoying, but good thing it works though.

5 of us stayed dinner bed and breakfast on a business trip. I will definitely return. I love all the antiques and the original fittings. The single room was small however this is not a grumble it was comfortable and had everything that I needed. I will book a larger one next time so I can have a double bed. It is very good that they have so many single rooms so single supplements are not charged. We ate in the Ash restaurant, all different meals which we all agreed were excellent. The drinks were ok prices too. The service was very good. The sitting relaxing area for coffee's tea's etc was great, I really do not feel you could outstay your welcome. Breakfast was a buffet and a very good choice. The prices for staying in my opinion are very very good, you really do get good value for your money. I will be staying with my Husband later in the year.
