“A beautiful, clean river”
Reviewed November 26, 2012

It's so nice, for a change, to see a clean river pass through a city, even a small one like Inverness. The pedestrian bridges are both cute and useful, while the banks are pleasant for walks. We only saw the part of the river that goes through the city, and we all liked it very much.

we enjoyed several walks in the large park near to the hotel and all paths are along the River Ness - very well kept and well used by locals

“delightful river walk”
Reviewed November 21, 2012

This river is criss crossed by bridges which makes for a very pleasent walk, I do believe you can walk down to Loch Ness from here but we did not have the time to explore.

“fabulous location”
Reviewed November 12, 2012

we went here on our honeymoon while in Inverness

The River Ness is a river flowing from Loch Ness in Scotland,
north to Inverness and the Moray Firth. On a hill above the river in Inverness stands Inverness Castle.

Beautiful and tranquil walk down one side then crossing over the bridges which connect the wee islands then back up river toward town

It is a very pleasant few hours you can spend wandering along the banks of the River Ness.

“Dolphins in Ness”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

You can walk along the riverbank and if you are lucky you might see otters, seals or dolphins. In October it can be a bit damp but you still can get beautifaul days and enjoy the changing colours of the trees. A must if you are in Inverness.
