“Comfortable, Clean Hotel”
Reviewed January 29, 2014

Been a while since I stayed here due to its location, as it is not convenient without your own transport. However I am so glad I booked in this time as the bed was so comfy that I actually overslept. (Unheard of when I stay in hotels) Luckily I was in no rush and was able to enjoy my stay. Room was large and basic as they all are. Very clean and warm. Breakfast was good and actually had one of them toasters that usually warm each side of your bread only but here the bread got toasted YES!!!
Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Will try and stay here more often as I did enjoy this visit.

Another stay last night resulted in a most satisfactory experience. Professional welcome from Annie on Reception remembered us from previous stay, always a good feeling when staff remember guests. Room tidy clean and functional. Washbasin drain plug defect didn't present major issue and report to Housekeeping next morning showed that staff really CARE about their clients.

Stayed here for 1 night at the weekend with being up for the football in Dingwall. Good standard of hotel and the rooms and beds are comfy with good shower facility. Staff were friendly and easy check in. We really only used the hotel to sleep and shower so had everything we needed. Only disappointment is it's not walking distance to the City Centre so you have to taxi back and forth and don't understand why there is not a bigger hot breakfast selection such as bacon?. Overall would stay again as was very pleasant.

Once we had found the place ( you have to come back on yourself on a dual carriageway) we were met by pleasant and helpful staff. The hotel was clean and tidy as were the rooms with nice bathrooms. Beds were comfortable
Breakfasts were the usual basic HIE buffet which suited our needs and the dining room was kept clean and tidy. Excellent value for money.

Very friendly staff, clean and tidy rooms, comfortable beds, reasonable price . Breakfast could be better - please add some bacon and eggs next time :) but still OK. Good localisation close to Tesco, petrol station and KFC. Overall Highly recommended !

I have had a four night stay at the Holiday Inn whilst working in Inverness. Nice freshly decorated room ,comfortable and clean. Reasonable breakfast choice , nicely cooked and fresh, strangely
no bacon on offer, however I can think of a number of hotels that might consider doing .the same .
Evening meals are available across the car park in the Snow Goose Inn , which given the hotels' location saves a trek. Fast food is available in the nearby retail park ....so by now you have worked out that the location is not exactly central, roughly 2.5 miles out. If you are on foot a taxi
is required, not sure about buses but suspect they pass close by.

Given my previous experience in Inverness ,a hands down winner, eat your heart out Travelodge

I stayed here for two separate nights on the way to the Orkney Islands (and back) in January 2014.

I was initially attracted to the hotel on the basis of price, it being cheaper than the neighbouring 'Travelodge' but to my mind it is superior to the other hotel and I would use one of these in preference to the other chain.

The room was a standard double/king with ensuite shower room and toilet/sink.

A hanging area was available for coats/suits and tea and coffee making facilities were also in the room, although I found the kettle incredibly slow to boil.
The usual 'Hotel TV' come alarm clock was also in the room, but I found the time display too bright on a night for my liking so unplugged the mains from the back (as was unable to locate the plug).

The bed was very comfortable, with a choice of 'pillow firmness' - Soft or Firm being the options. Towels and a shower mat were provided, and shower gel was available from a dispenser in the cubicle.

Internet access via a voucher was free for the duration of the stay (1 night on each occasion) but the internet speed was quite slow, with pages especially on social networks taking a while to download, however it was plenty for email applications.

I did experience some issues with noise from neighbouring rooms and outside in the corridor, but in my humble experience these places never do have thick enough walls.

Breakfast was a 'help yourself' buffet affair, with drinks from a machine, a choice of hot food should you wish for that option, cereals, fruit and bread products. A TV was on the news channel and newspapers appeared to be provided free of charge.

Overall I was very happy with my stay and with breakfast/Wi-Fi being included in the price find it outstrips the neighbouring competition who charge extra for such.

I would be happy to use again.
