We had an early dinner at Johnny Foxes (dinner served at 6PM), we had to wait for the kitchen to open for dinner, so the bartenders took care of us until then. We found the place to be well maintained, clean and attractive.
The only complaint I had was that the smell of cigarette smoke was the worst here than anywhere else we went to in Scotland (or Ireland, France & Spain) - we know smoking laws are different everywhere and that's just fine, I just found that Johnny Foxes did a poor job to circulating the air inside (I believe smokers had to go outside, just in front of the building, but the smoke permeated throughout inside anyway). It wasn't unclean or anything, but more sensitive people (kids, elderly, asthmatics) would find the air a bit unpleasant.
Other than this, though, we really did enjoy our dinner - the staff were attentive, but not overbearing and the food was tasty. A positive experience.
