The location of this place is great. It's central and walking distance to everything within Inverness.

But the real highlight of this B&B is the host, Arafeh. He was very attentive and friendly. Additionally, he had great recommendations for things to do and eat around the town. He's been living in Inverness for over a decade, and it was clear he knew the town inside and out. People like Arafeh are the reason I enjoy staying in B&Bs more than hotels -- you really get a personal touch out of your stay and feel a bit more like you are actually experiencing the city instead of just passing through as a tourist.

Also, I'd like to note that the breakfast was great and more than substantial. It's not a traditional Scottish breakfast, but by this point in our trip we were looking for something else anyway. He made us fresh pancakes with tons of sides and the whole affair felt so homey and comforting.

Thanks again, Arafeh, for a great stay!

The B&B is situated a 15 minute walk from the train station and from the town centre, it is almost on the River Ness so location is spot on. There is also a Tesco's just around the corner for if you want to grab some snacks!

We had a double bedroom with ensuite, the ensuite was very tiny! You could stand in the bedroom and brush your teeth over the sink! So if you're a large person, you're best off staying in one of the non-ensuite bedrooms that share a large toilet on the first floor. The bedrooms were lovely and clean, with tea and coffee facilities, a TV and free Wifi that was speedy.

The breakfast is not the traditional cooked breakfast, but rather a huge continental affair that could easily feed a family of fifteen. Lots of cereals, breads, fruits, ham and cheese, pancakes, boiled eggs galore. Different and delicious.

Arafeh and his family were lovely and welcoming, nothing was too much for them, very happy to oblige with any requests.

Room Tip: The ensuite bathrooms are very small, go for one of the bedrooms without an ensuite as the main shared toilet is much larger.

Excellent place to stay wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Very close to town/bus/train. Wonderful host and a great breakfast to set you up for the day. Very good value for money and I would definitely stay here again!

The Quaich is exactly what you want.

Very friendly (but not overbearing!) owners wanting to make sure you have a great experience in Inverness. Will tell you what you want/need to know about the area, and have great other local knowledge also. Perfectly talkative enough - sometimes I am hesitant to B&B it because the people are overly talkative

Rooms are a tad small, but I bet this is the case in all B&Bs around

Good breakfast too! I would come back no question - great location

Thank you Arafeh for a most enjoyable stay, in a most comfortable room, with a sumptuous breakfast and excellent service, and on-street parking close by. I would be happy to stay at the Quaich again if ever the chance arises...
