“Great B&B”
Reviewed November 14, 2013

Had to go to Inverness at short notice & found this great B&B on trip advisor. As a solo female traveller I was a little apprehensive but there was no need. Terri & Edwin made me very welcome & immediately I felt at ease. Everything was spotless. The double room was lovely with a very comfy bed. A delicious cake each day freshly made. Lovely breakfast. Good location within easy walking distance of town centre.

We booked a room here for a one night stay in October based on the excellent TripAdvisor reviews. It was everything we could have wanted. Terri was so kind, and welcomed us with DELICIOUS cake and sherry and tons of recommendations of where to eat in Inverness. Our room was large and beautifully furnished, with a spotless and luxurious bathroom. We slept like the dead and woke to a delicious breakfast. Terri and her husband were so warm and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again while in Inverness.

Room Tip: The King Size room is beautiful and luxurious.

We booked on a weekend filled with newly married and had Ozzie and Harriet twin beds. They were comfortable. The desert that greeted us each day after sight seeing was a treat not to be missed. Sponge cupcakes one day and a coffee flavored two layer cake another day. The breakfast is marvelous with a choice of egg, toast, tea or coffee, cheese platter, fruit and either bacon or sausage helps one start the day off right. The residence is very clean and in easy walking distance of the downtown area. Ask for directions if you are driving in and new to the area as it can be tricky relying on Google maps.

Room Tip: book early to get a double bed!

I booked a room here after reading the praises on TripAdvisor. We were not disappointed. After booking the room, we received a welcoming email from Terri. We arrived quite early in the morning as we had taken the sleeper train from London the night before. When we arrived our room was ready and we were able to check in right away. The ensuite room was overlooking the garden. There were fresh flowers in the room and every afternoon we were greeted with fresh pastries that Terri made. Although we had a minor glitch with the shower, we were delighted with our stay and would recommend An Grianan to any of our friends and family. We will definitely stay here next time we are in Inverness.

What a wonderful B&B ! Teri and her husband have really put their heart into their business. Our two rooms we filled with fresh flowers, lovely-plush beds, high quality towels and fully stocked coffee/tea trays. Best part: Teri baked a fresh dessert for your room every single day. Breakfast was splendid. I could have stayed in their B&B the entire holiday. Bravo.

Lavender bath soap. Magnolia body lotion. Fresh garden roses in the room. Homemade pastry delivered daily for tea time. The most comfortable bed in Scotland! The homey house fragrance of something good in the oven. Full Scottish breakfasts. Central location with a 5 minute walk to restaurants and stores. The genuine welcoming presence and kindness of hosts Eddy and Terry. We felt pampered and fortunate to end our two weeks of travel in Scotland with a three-night stay at An Grianan. Highly recommend. Stay as long as you can.

We loved our stay at An Grianan!! We were met with wonderful warm cake. Honestly felt spoiled with all of the great baking. Edwin was wonderful and helped us with researching our family history at the Family Research Center. It was a really nice walk to get there and we watched the locals salmon fishing. We went to Eden Court Theatre for the Blas festival's An Guth (The Voice) and went to the Inverness Museum and Art Gallery. The location of the B&B was in a quiet neighborhood but still within walking distance to everything. We would highly recommend you stay here!!
