Owner description: Water doesn't get much more mysterious than this 23 mile stretch running through the Great Glen in the Highlands of Scotland. There's no better way to experience Loch Ness than by boat. Jacobite's award winning tours and cruises get you onto the water and into the heart of this iconic landscape. This is a whole lot more than simply sight-seeing. We've been running trips on and around Loch Ness for over 30 years and most of us live here.

“Water, Castles and Monsters--A Fun, Well-Organized Day”
Reviewed April 27, 2014

We joined Jacobite for the three-hour "Sensation Tour" when we stopped off in Invergordon as part of a cruise. We booked in advance and met the guide / bus at the Inverness bus station. It could not have been easier or more organized, and every member of the staff (from the folks who answered questions by e-mail before we arrived, to the guides and everyone in between) was friendly and knowledgeable.

The cruise on Loch Ness was gorgeous. It was calm, the sky was blue and the water was like glass...all the better to try to spot Nessie. I would have loved an even longer time on the water. Urquhart Castle was intriguing and the conditions were perfect to climb around the ruins taking photos and enjoying a bagpipe serenade. Finally, we enjoyed the visit to the Loch Ness Centre & Exhibition to get the "real" story on the science and the speculation about Nessie.

Great value, great day! We'd highly recommend signing up.

Dear Reviewer, what can we say, what a wonderful review. The Sensation is one of our more popular tours and gives a varied flavour of Inverness and Loch Ness, so we're glad you enjoyed it.

“Modern boat, timeless scenery”
Reviewed April 27, 2014

We took a one hour cruise on the modern catamaran as part of a National Holiday. The cruise is from the Clansman Hotel up to Urquhart Castle and back. There are options to land and explore the castle on foot if you want, but this wasn't possible on our holiday. Nevertheless, it was a very enjoyable hour with superb views and informative commentary.

“Imagination Inspiring”
Reviewed April 22, 2014 via mobile

If you've ever wondered if there really is a Loch Ness monster then this is the trip for you. The cruise is on a spacious catamaran with plenty of inside and outside viewing areas. It is family friendly and takes in the Loch's beauty as well as it's mystery. A wonderful experience.
