We stayed for one night in a clean room with shared facilities (which we were the only guests using at the time). Breakfast was plentiful and served by Kenny in a kilt! The room contained a king size bed which was probably too big for the room, and constricted movement around the room. That said, the room was modern and had everything you needed - kettle, hairdryer, TV and free wifi. Silverstrands is located close to the city centre which meant we could walk into town for dinner - but a steep hill to walk back!

We stayed with Kenny for just one night after a trip through the Highlands and enjoyed his hospitality, including a nice breakfast in the morning. Room was an ensuite double and very clean and well appointed. Location is an easy walk to downtown Inverness but in a nice quiet area just out of main downtown. 10 minute walk to train station in the morning.

This was the last place me and my wife stayed at after 5 days of hopping around the Highlands. It is a small place but very well kept. The only thing that threw as off when comparing to more main stream accommodations was wrinkled bed cover which look like it had already been used. I don't think it had though. The duvet was maybe a bit too much and there were some dark hard things in the filling that kept poking us during sleep. Feathers maybe? Or lose leafs in the feeling, we never found out.
The owner is very nice and friendly, and he will serve you breakfast in full Scottish attire, kilt and all. Speaking of breakfast, it was very good with some good quality ingredients (at least it seemed that way) it was a shame backed beans were not an option though, and the tomato was just a couple of cherry tomatoes, not a proper roasted half tomato.
We got the room with the shared bathroom, which felt like we were the only ones using. The bathroom was impeccably clean and the room had lots of freebies, from toiletries to coffee, tea and biscuits. The room was just across the dining room which made us a bit uncomfortable to go about going about out morning routine having to walk between bathroom and bedroom with breakfast being served in a room just opposite to ours. I guess that is why we only had the first breakfast slot as an option to choose from. Breakfast is served between 8:00 and 8:30. Points for having fresh flowers on the breakfast tables.

Room tip: Try to avoid the shared bathroom room

A great find having not been to Inverness before. Kenny and Dorothy welcoming hosts and the kilt was a very nice touch at breakfast time! Twin room small but immaculately clean and beautifully furnished. Had a good laugh and will have to return to talk more about " Outlander " with Dorothy ! Two nice places to eat/drink just around the corner, 10 minute walk into centre for other choices.

We stayed the second time in this wonderful B&B. Kenny was as friendly and helpful as three years ago. He offered a perfect service, perfect breakfast, perfect rooms and a perfect location (near the centre of Inverness).
Hope to be back soon!
