We used a groupon deal for 2 nights here and then booked another night to stay so 3 nights all in all. We were truly surprised at how brilliant it was. We travel a lot and are used to both low and high standards and we are so glad that we stopped here. Plenty of parking spaces, place looks clean and modern. We checked in no problems- the gentlemen offered to carry our case and showed us to our room. The room was clean, spacious and modern. The bathroom was huge and had all the little nick knacks that offer that extra. Our room was cleaned everyday and had the most fresh fluffy huge white towels which were blissful! it was warm at night so we left the window open so we did hear a little traffic in the morning but who cares that's not the hotels fault! we had amazing hot weather which made the holiday better. We used the pub to eat every night as it was such high standards. The food was stunning, the people were even friendlier. Breakfast was super! They catered for all your needs so we were ready for a full day of adventures out and about Inverness which truly is the most stunning place we have every been. The hotel is minutes away from the centre which has everything you need. If we goes back to Inverness ( we do live very far away) then we would defiantly stay here again. We needed a hotel that was a base for us and it did the job! Anyone moaning about this place needs to get a life!

We stayed in the chieftain hotel in mid may this year. It is a few minutes away from the tow centre and the room plus en suite were nice and clean. The problems began when we had to ask at the reception to put the heating on, it was freezing in our room. The man at the reception answered it would come on in about ten minutes anyway. That was at quarter to ten at night! Who needs a warm room during the night but cold during the evening? At breakfast I asked for a highchair for my baby but they couldn't find it! (They only have one?!) . The second morning they found the highchair, but it was full of grease and food stains that we refused to let my daughter sit in it. That chair has never seen a damp cloth! Also very disappointed when I discovered that they serve instant coffee for breakfast. I thought those days were long gone! I could go on with the list of thing that went wrong, all in all it was a weekend we won't forget - but not in a good way!

Just got back from our 2 night stop in Inverness. We only booked this hotel as a last minute get away but what a gem. Staff were excellent all very helpful even helped carry our luggage to our room. Plenty of parking spaces, we were on a motorbike so safe secure parking a must. Food was excellent, breakfast very nice and evening menu also excellent. Our room no.14 was one of the nicest rooms we have stayed in. The hotel is positioned about 5 minutes steady walk to the town centre and easily accessed from the A9.

Thank to Liz ,Kerri and all the staff for making our 2 night stay memorable. Food service and Staff second to none nothing was too much trouble for them.Place is looking great after the refurb and the bar staff though young and some of them inexperienced always put the customers first.Locals also a friendly crew who made us feel most welcome.Know that the hotel is not the finished article yet but the main thing is they learn from any mistakes and build on it. Iwish Liz and Kerri all the best in what they are trying to achieve here.

Friends and I spent our first evening in Inverness at the Chieftan. The food was fabulous and the service was great. To make the evening even better, the locals were very friendly and we had a great time.

Chose to stay over in Inverness prior to a red eye flight the next morning, so did not have food on this occasion. Lovely welcome, hotel was spotlessly clean and warm in all area's even for beginning of January. Really good well thought out bedrooms for the modern traveller, good bedroom products, lovely bed and nice soft furnishings, well worth a stay x
