i was looking for a nice meal before walking down to the gym at aquadome, the time was about 5.15 so thought a nice pre theatre meal may be on offer. was told nah there no doing it until 5.30 no one else in should have been a sign. so i ordered off a menu that certainly wasnt cheap, i decided to go for the mushroom soup "plate of water with a few blitzed mushroons" then the prawn pasta dish with about 1 king prawn diced into it and a few other charred ingrediants. was a massive dissapointment. service was pretty good but when i complained the reply was aww what a shame do you want a dessert menu!!!! £15 wasted wasnt going to do a reveiw but seen other terrible reveiws so thot i better. tastless rip off, i think maybe the kp got promoted to head chef

My partner and I ate at The Kitchen on the recommendation of a friend we had been advised to book and were glad we did. We sat on the top floor and had a good view of the river as darkness fell. The menu provided good range and we were pleased that each course was served with plenty of time in between. My partner's main meal was not a good choice, it was served in a greaseproof paper 'bag' which had been burnt on the top edge - not very appealing. The light at the table was non-existent which made eating challenging. When the main meal was collected we did discuss the poor quality of my partners dish and the restaurant refunded the cost. The service was very good and the staff attentive.

Been many times before and unfortunately won't be returning. The menu has really changed since my last visit which was disappointing. Our meals were average and nothing to rave about. Frozen french fries? Limp undressed salad leaves. No veg with mains - everything appears to be an extra side order now and the starters and mains were warm rather than piping hot? Really disappointing for the price, left a tip as courteous and service was good but won't be returning.

Booked here for dinner as previously have had truly lovely food. However, this weekend was extremely disappointing. It was my birthday, so we were looking forward to a quality meal, especially as it is expensive to dine in the evening. However, there were two starters and puddings unavailable from the menu which was not highlighted on being seated. Previous diners at the table took 20 mins of our table time, due to staff taking a very long time to serve food. There were hardly any meat free options unless you want pizza or pasta. My fish main was rubbery, my friend's chicken was very small portion and tasteless, nothing special.
Will not be returning anytime soon.
