“Nothing to rave about - very disappointing”
Reviewed September 22, 2013

Been many times before and unfortunately won't be returning. The menu has really changed since my last visit which was disappointing. Our meals were average and nothing to rave about. Frozen french fries? Limp undressed salad leaves. No veg with mains - everything appears to be an extra side order now and the starters and mains were warm rather than piping hot? Really disappointing for the price, left a tip as courteous and service was good but won't be returning.

“Disappointed”
Reviewed September 22, 2013

Booked here for dinner as previously have had truly lovely food. However, this weekend was extremely disappointing. It was my birthday, so we were looking forward to a quality meal, especially as it is expensive to dine in the evening. However, there were two starters and puddings unavailable from the menu which was not highlighted on being seated. Previous diners at the table took 20 mins of our table time, due to staff taking a very long time to serve food. There were hardly any meat free options unless you want pizza or pasta. My fish main was rubbery, my friend's chicken was very small portion and tasteless, nothing special.
Will not be returning anytime soon.

“A lovely dinner”
Reviewed September 20, 2013

This place is very popular and busy. We had tried to get seated at Mustard Seed (about 6:30pm) and they were booked. The lovely hostess called over to Kitchen Brasserie and I think got us the last seating till almost 8pm. We had a lovely table by the window, excellent service and a delightful meal. But we did watch them turn at least 10 couples away because they were full. We really enjoyed our meal and the restaurant and would highly recommend it. We were 3 adults and shared 2 appetizers and 2 entrees and had plenty of food. Enjoy!

“great location but.....”
Reviewed September 20, 2013

interesting building on a great location by the river. the waiting staff were friendly but the service was poor. We had to wait too long for both courses. the food was disappointing: prawn pasta with very few prawns and a pizza which could have been warmer. We won't revisit.

“Always a great tasting and great value lunch”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

We ate lunch here again recently and, as always, it was great value for money and very tasty. The service was also excellent. It is very handy to be able to check the website for the week's lunch menu as I am a fussy eater and there are only a few choices on the special deal menu so I need to know there will be something I will eat. We have also gone there for a pre-theatre meal and I would stick with it as a lunchtime option as you get the same menu but it's much cheaper at lunchtime. I would thoroughly recommend the Kitchen.
