We had the good fortune to stay here during our recent visit to Scotland. The furnishings throughout the guesthouse are beautiful and contemporary. Our room was large and extremely comfortable with a fantastic view of the castle. The host and hostess couldn't have been more friendly, helpful, or efficient and the breakfact was excellent. Overall a wonderful place to stay and good value to boot!

As other review mentioned below, we stayed one night in Inverness and Rabbiestours booked this guesthouse for me and my friend. Although I am a hotel person and I love hotels, I have to admit that this different experience was astonishing. It was literally like being hosted in a house, something that made our trip more hospitable! Although the room we had did not have castle view as the others in front, we still enjoyed the view of the city. I have no words... it was like a summer house in Scotland, full of wooden furniture. The lady made the breakfast for us the way we wanted it at the time we wanted it. + free wi-fi. Me and my friend promised that we will come back! Scotland is amazing and Inverness such a nice place!

Room Tip: Castle view!

My boyfriend and I had never stayed in a guest house before so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was set up like a small hotel. We had a great view of the castle and the town. They provided the basics like shampoo, condintioner, etc. The owner had several menus for local restaurants and recommended the Castle Tavern which ended up being the best food we had in Scotland! We chose what we wanted for breakfast and when we wanted it served by. It was a traditional Scottish breakfast. I definately recommend.

This B&B was picked out for us by Rabbie's Tours (also highly recommended). The entire house was decorated lovely! Some of the rooms had a view of the castle! The breakfast was served on time and was absolutely delicious! It was also nice to play with the puppy on the back deck, as I missed mine at home. My only complaint would be the shower is rather small, and our window was hard to close. We stayed the night of a new shower being installed, and the smell was rather strong from the caulk at first. The B&B was within walking distance of everything in town, and was quiet. The owner was very courteous, and we would definitely stay again!

This was our second stay at Ardentorrie House, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered.

Hosts Kate and Willie Kennedy are warm, friendly, and helpful.

The house has been completely remodeled and renovated in artistic, contemporary style. Our suite was comfortable, immaculately clean, and attractively decorated, with many endearing and thoughtful touches, such as a tiny "treasure chest" of foil-covered chocolates. We get the sense that Kate and Willie asked themselves, "What would we like to find in a guest house suite?" and furnished with that in mind.

The location is spectacular, a residential street on a bluff overlooking Inverness Castle, the River Ness, and Inverness Cathedral. There are two good places adjacent for the evening meal: the hotel across the street, and a local pub down the block.

Kate always responded promptly to our e-mail enquiries as we made, then changed, plans several times in the months leading up to our trip. Price for the room gave excellent value.

When we think of Inverness, we think of Ardentorrie House and the Kennedys.
