We were pleasantly surprised on arrival as the pictures simply do not portray the size, atmosphere and quality of the bungalow. Quality of the fixtures and fittings and the generous proportions of each room could really not be improved upon. The view from the bungalow is amazing regardless of the weather and it's very difficult not to get mesmerised by the sight and sound of the waves crashing over the rocks just yards from the window. The only slight criticism is if anyone arrived when dark, the bungalow would be quite hard to find as directions not quite detailed enough but ok in daytime hours. Outstanding holiday and sad to leave. We would highly recommend this bungalow for anyone who a peaceful and tranquil holiday.

This was my 2nd stay here in 2013 - spent one week back in April with a friend from California, then two in July/August with my husband and 2 teenage kids. Both times we were blessed with great weather.
For anyone who loves to be near the ocean and likes peace & quiet... this is the place for you. Every window boasts a view of the water with spectacular sunrises and sunsets to feast your eyes upon. There is direct access to a fabulous rocky beach, wonderful for exploring tide pools.
The beds are comfy, the kitchen well equipped and there is ample room for the whole family. The wi-fi was reliable and a real bonus for all of us. My only wish would be for the garden to be enclosed so our dog could have a bit of freedom off-lead.
We took our bikes and enjoyed much time cycling around the wee roads and also in nearby Dunnet Forest... which is also an awesome place to walk dogs. There is a spectacular white sandy beach 10 mins away by car and several other places well worth a visit; Dunnet Head is the most northerly point of Britain, we took a day trip to Orkney and also travelled west right across the top of Scotland to visit Smoo Cave... Not to mention chilling out reading books and becoming holiday 'boat spotters' by tracking the ships passing from country to country.
You won't be disappointed with this property - a real home from home. The owner is a delight to deal with and the local contact lady is lovely and happy to help.
