Beautiful setting for a tea and cake then a trip round the old castle and the well tended garden for a sit down. Beautiful view, plenty parking, lovely staff

This a great way to spend an afternoon. Very surprising! do go and visit if you are in the area. The café is also very good but rather pricey!

Lovely peaceful location, Prince Charles takes a keen interest in the Castle of Mey and encourages visitors to visit Caithness, Lovely walled garden, animal centre which is ideal for Granny and Grandad to take the children to visit, a really lovely place to visit.

“very peaceful, beautiful setting”
Reviewed February 28, 2014

Travelling in February, the actual castle is closed, but it was lovely to walk through the gardens and grounds and had the entire place to ourselves. Plenty of parking and in season there is a restaurant and gift shop. I should imagine in the summer it gets very busy.
