Mey Castle, Gardens and Farm give you an insight to bygone and present days. The café serves an excellent selection of food. The Mey Gift Shop has a fair selection of goods produced for the Castle shop also includes other suppliers, Both Café and Gift Shop is a wee bit expencive

Well worth a visit, found the staff to be very approachable and knowledgable. Some staff had been there since the Queen Mother lived there so they had some great little stories. George in one of the out buildings was an absolute gem. Thank you.

Nice tour around the Queen Mother's former residence. Long driveway from the main road so you need your own transport or you need to be fit walking. We went on a wet day so missed out on some of the grounds. Worth a visit if you are in the area

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to The Castle of Mey. The guides were extremely knowledgeable and helpful and full of insights into the Queen Mothers life when she was there. I left thinking that I would have really got on well with her - the wellies with studs in the sole so she didn't slip in the very wet grass, the gin and dubonnet, and the fabulous stags head on the wall which was actually a toy! The roses in the walled garden were past their best in late September but one or two lingered, evocative of their summer glory.
