“Beauly Village, Priory, Tartan Shop and Deli”
Reviewed December 16, 2012

This is a lovely village with a beautiful priory which is definitely worth a visit. From the beautiful old tree at the gate entrance, to the red stone ruins, it just oozes history. Parking is free all along the main road and there are numerous gift shops dotted along the main street. The opposite end of the street from the priory is a tartan shop where you step back in time and is a must to visit. Add to this a Deli to die for which not only sells wonderful local produce and Scottish fayre but has a whole range of meals and hot drinks on offer that make it hard to choose - Beauly may be small but is has so much to recommend it and is not to be missed.

Ambiance and food. Good food. Very friendly staff and comfortable lounge. Welcoming. Attractive if rather dark decor.

“A proper Scottish high tea”
Reviewed September 19, 2012

Like: Small local hotel, warm welcome, good food Can highly recommend their high tea which is a bit of a family treat when I go home to visit. What' a Scottish high tea. A main course (fish and chips, gammon, liver and onions that kind of thing, with tea to drink, and followed by scones, shortbread, and other fancy cakes. Delicious!

Dislike: Make sure you ask for a seat in the main part of the restaurant near the fire, we once got put out the back in a dark and dismal corner behind the fish tank. It rather spoiled the evening as well as being cold!
